  • Hi Guys!
Recently my uncle asked for my help finding a high speed blender that worked well, but was cheaper than a Vitamix. After some research we picked up this Blendtec Total Blender at Costco for the budget friendlier price of $229.99
In this video I give you my first impressions of the blender as well as test out its power to blend 3 common things that I would ask of a high speed blender. Tune in to see the results! xx

I've had my blend tec for about 8 years and use it at least once a day...I love it 👍 I still have the original container and lid and it does it all 😊

Is this switch on the back a master kill switch in case the blender goes faulty? I love Blendtec they hype their customers with good quality products.

I think so. It has been a while since I did this video and as it was my uncles, I can’t fully remember but I believe it was the master power switch.

I have just got a Blemdtec pricey but worth it. More ethical than a Vitamix they don't steal others designs either like Vitamix do.

I have had a Vita-mix since fall of 2010 and I absolutely love my Vita-Mix so much so that I bought each of my children one as a wedding gift to get started with making healthy delicious meals, sauces, ice cream and more.
i did sell my first Vita-mix when it had only 6 more months of warranty. The new owner does receive the rest of warranty. I sold it and turned immediately around and bought the next level up at Costco.
I'm at my sister's house currently. She bought a Blendtec ES3 and I used to make avocado cacao pudding and just before it was done it quit. There's no reset button. I have had it off overnight plus and it still will not turn on. Hmmm. With my Vita-mix it would have turned off by itself before overloaded and would be reset in 20 minutes and ready to roll. What is the solution for Blendtec????

I’m with you, I love my Vitamix. I wanted to share some cheaper options with people and since my uncle was purchasing this blendtec, that’s why I was able to make this video. But I feel that the Vitamix is a superior blender, and your example proves that. 💚

We had a Ninja and it was doing ok. I wasn´t super impressed. I was being gentle with it and one day the jar just broke :/ and replace it will cost 80 dollars, so we said good bye and bought a Waring Commercial, the model is call Xtreme, which is good because I cook a lot and use the blender like nuts hahaha. It supposedly for hard work and specially in pro kitchens and for pro chefs. It just has 2 speeds and the pulse button. The jar and the base are quite big, and the base is a little heavy, but with this one I´m really, really happy. It also turns off if the motor gets hot. So, I just wanted to make another recommendation :D hehe.

+Paola Muciño thank you for your recommendation! I haven't tried that one yet, but glad to hear you are happy with it. Yes, I totally agree with you on the ninja. From my experience using it, it was not very good at anything lol. Thanks for watching xx

Thanks. Yes you are right. My good mic was not with me on this trip and the sound is just from the camera, so not the best quality. Sorry for that😊

Wowowee a Blendtec Total (& Vitamix) blender are a whopping $700 in Costco Australia and in America the same for $280 and with two jars not just one! The Sunbeam Cafe Series® Blender (PB9800) is $200 in Australia at Bing Lee and it has a more powerful motor than Blendtecs' or Vitamix's, both are ridiculously overpriced for what they are. A fool and his money are easily parted...

Glad the sunbeam is another option for those in Australia
