Another good video Ted - you always give a really good insight into the route. I’ll look at that for next year. Are you doing any of the OMM festival races at Grasmere at 1/2 June?
I’m not going to make Staveley as I am running the Yorkshire three Peaks next weekend and I’m likely to still be recovering! 🤣 It’s a great thought, it’s a nice technical one. Are you doing it?
@@Ted-offroad yes I'll be there, been a few years since I've done it. Looking forward to the Sting in The Tail - not! Enjoy 3 Peaks - that will be a grand day out!
Great video, i did the 10k as my first ever trail run and really enjoyed it. the decent around 18minutes on your video was challenging until a lady kindly advised zig zagging. I've signed up for the stavely 18km now. Good to see how the top runners tackle the bits i struggled on. Do you feel the shoes made much difference? i had nike wildhorses on.
Hi Ben, congratulations on your 1st ever trail run & well done! 👏🏼👏🏼 I just love the trails and you will improve loads with the more that you do. You will learn technique and build strength but don’t rush it, just enjoy what you do. With regard to the shoes, you need to have 100% trust in them when you are racing and needing them to dig in, if you don’t have the confidence in them, you will not be able to run so fast but, as with you learning your own techniques, you need to learn what your shoes are capable of. I haven’t signed up for Staveley as I am running the Yorkshire 3 peaks race the weekend before and will probably still be broken 🤣 but it’s a great run. It has some more technical sections which I enjoy but again, take your time to learn and build your confidence. The trails are awesome, especially in such nice settings, just get out & enjoy. Keep me posted on your progress. Good luck! 👍🏼
@@Ted-offroad that's the plan at the moment, just keep on booking the events and turning up. The only bit that my shoes didn't cope well with at all was the field near the end coming down the hill but then again most people went down that gingerly. I'll compare my shoes with the inov8 ones next time. Looking forward to the next video keep it up =)
You came flying past me near the end at the stile, super job!
Thank you. I was trying to make up some time after the slow climbs! 😂
Great effort!! Loved the footage... Thanks for sharing!!

I’m running the Due North Burnsall trail Half Marathon this weekend so I’ll hopefully have another video to share early next week! 😃👍🏼
So you didn't get a free pair of socks, they gave them to you as you'd bought new shoes 😂
😂 Yes, it’s an expensive way to buy socks! 🤣
@@Ted-offroad bet you told your wife they were free though !
😂👍🏼
