Welcome to another MarcelianOnline video! Today, we have our second 10.2.6 tier list and it’s all about predictions for Season 4 based on what we tested on the ptr + the available logs. We nailed many predictions in the past but remember it’s all subject to change!
Our 10.2.6 ranged dps tier list in M+ will definitely look different compared to today’s meta and once another cycle of tuning comes around, we shall adjust accordingly so this video is just to get a taste, an idea of what our future season 4 tier list topics will look like :)

Affliction warlock needs a rework. I'm exhausted of people saying, "we have our AOE, it's amazing." It's great when the packs are huge and our dots have a chance to ramp. But you also have the issue of mulit tabbing and trying to refresh everything, such as Agony and SL, which is like a on 4-5 targets to get shard regeneration fast enough to spam more seed. When pally's and pretty much every other class is better, without a ramp time.
Yea, affs style of aoe sucks in 2024 WoW. It was fine when fights lasted longer and had less creatures. When CC was needed. But the spec is just too old school and needs re-designed, even if it changes the DNA a bit.
I have to ask. Have you ran keys as Aff. I do and i rarely run into a situation where I am hurting for shards in an aoe situation. UA>vile taint>Soul Rot> Seed go brrr. I will recast a few Agonys between vile taint cds to maintain shard generation, but vile taint applies agony to 8 targets every 30 seconds. Which is enough for me to keep using seed of corruption.
Sad to see the OG dmg over time class/spec suck ass.
And thats coming from a rogue main. But afflock was always my favorite caster, sad to see it perform so poorly time and time again.

Destro is "broken" because most PTR people are premade groups or good players, and usually tanks play for you.
That does not happen on average on pug groups, tank usually will move from RoF always for different reasons. Unless you have a permanent group and a tank who understands how your AoE works, Demo would be a better pick.
reminds of fire mages in BFA tanks can ruin their damage.

Commmmmon affliction, trying so many specs and they end with a bit of meh. Brign back my lock!. The multidotting is the biggest flaw. first off 3 dots on 3 targets and your back to applying them on the first
Have to say had a lot more fun on aff that I wanted or expected :)
I commented this above, but S4 single target sims in BIS gear are as follows: Demo 383kdps, Aff 393k dps, and Destro is 411k dps. We are going to be heavily affected by incarnate icon use.

With the upcoming patch Shadow Priest is going to get a decrease into Psychic Link and Shadow Appearance damage for 100%. Right now it is - to be honest - such a strong combination with S2 Set. Insane amount of procs. I am saying this as a SP main.
Idk, they probably wont nerf it too much becz they just buffed it and the tier sets

And it doesn't depend on your tank, that's why is better than deatro on average (not potentially)
Not in S4, Demo is the lowest dps spec single target based on PTR sims. Demo still has amazing aoe though.
@@ndk2k4demo st dps hasnt been good since the s3 rework, only reason its good overall is because almost all bosses in amir has some kind of burst aoe which demo is good for. And its amazing on low to medium count pulls in m+ for weekly 20 keys
Dämo will still play Nymue and Boleros in this Season
uuum, I dont know if youre correct about affliction. S4 single target sims in BIS gear are as follows: Demo 383kdps, Aff 393kdps, and Destro is 411k dps. These are early PTR numbers of course, lots of stuff can change. Demo is now only superior in AOE situations going by the sim numbers. The trinket for demo wont do anything because we are using the s3 tier bonuses. I think demo still has the easiest time doing consistent damage in AOE and ST while Destro needs to really be on top of cooldown timing in M+ going from pack to pack. Im actually excited to try out aff next season.
it's not even really early ptr anymore, its been over 2 weeks with barely any changes beside dungeon and trinket tuning. ptr is well over halfway through

Not a single fmage in my keys entire season, stopped at key range of 28++ that would touch me in dps department. No matter if I played on my Shadow, demo or destro. The Fmage players suck. They are carried by the things that people think they can do: Immortality, lust and party buff. Reality is different. Mages often don't find an invite into the key, even thought a lust would be nice and people will opt into drums and some other spec, because you can't rely on mages lusting. Often they have it on CD when they actually need to use it :) Cause of their personal LUST. As for their survivability I could write tales of how many times did I see a mage die with his cds ready. Party buff? You won't see that if you die at any point in the key, until you flat out drop combat and WA kicks in and yells into their screen BUFF MISSING. LMAO - You ask them to rebuff? Naaaa, not happening. Me combusting, sorry pal, not messing my spacebar rotation.
That said. Its easy to "Grind" as mage, because generally speaking you will get into the keys easier and then there are also teams that play with mages.

I think Aug will fall back a little bit because is straight Mastery and can lose value in high stats, is the best time to Blizzard buff Devastation to make the dragon S tier on their own expansion
devastation is doing S+ tier damage, and it only lacks the hp/movement speed group buff and the cheat death, that one is stupid (this is excluding ebon might etc). if you give dev that cheat death it will be WAY more popular and liked by the general playerbase. like dev still has source of magic, zephyr, rescue shield, aoe stun, aoe soothe, 2 aoe stops, 20 sec kick, 15 sec casted cc, time spiral, 2 tanky defensives, mass root. all 3 evoker specs can deal with the dungeon affixes very very well. dev also has the lowest APM in the game so there's plenty of opportunity to weave these in, especially because the damage is so bursty you can kinda "stop and start" to use utility. it's just squishy outside of defs but that doesnt show until +26s maybe even +17/18 in s4 with more vers, or late mythic raid. imo anyway. before aug everyone thought dev and pres had insane utility. but aug definitely benefits from haste and crit, haste for obvious reasons quicker casts and regen, but the ebon might extensions themselves can crit i.e. breath of eons adds 7.5 sec instead of 5. aug has definitely hit its mastery caps already but stacking more haste and crit will probably decrease or completely eliminate the short periods of ebon might downtime. i think most "top" evokers will swap between aug and dev depending on dungeon and affixes. some have always done this, dev's s3 set is just not good for m+. dev is still A tier for raid though. it's just annoying that dev's worst stat is likely still gonna be mastery, need different gear lol

Elemental shaman is honestly a disappointment. the damage numbers aren't their. Earthquake sucks, our Defensive kit is trash, and we bring no Raid buff. like blizzard hello?? rework elemental already??

@@MarcelianOnline it was pretty close to S tier back in MoP with the Druid Symbiosis, I believe it was balance that gave them Sunfire as a new dot, allowing aff to get even higher numbers cause of their mastery
@@Ermji change malefic corruption to not be mandatory and more of a filler and just let the dots be harder hitting, less button bloat would also be nice (I'm a former Aff player, played it from Cata->SL on and off each season), along with some mastery changes and making dark fiend more than a glorified dot extender

The more of these kinds of videos I watch... The more I realise that these new talent trees are just absolutely shite. They don't solve the problem of the old trees that folk were up in arms over -AoE & Single target being on opposite ends.
Affliction is what I main and in-between bosses, I am god. Get to the boss and I am throwing mouldy food at the boss hoping it will wear them down
