SOME DREAM, SOME DO, FEW DO BOTH
Forest looks so enjoyable and enchanting man! Lovely film
Great video, well done , it looked lovely
I did the strickler knob hike near there a few years ago. The view was great, but it was insanely buggy at the top
I've done this trail with teenagers and it's a good for that age group since you get the fun of scrambling to the view. There's also a 12 mile version where you start on Camp Roosevelt Rd instead of Crimson Hollow Rd. The Knob is around the 5'ish mile point if you do the longer route. If you're looking for a long day hike or a "moderate" length long run it's a nice trail. I haven't done it in a few years, but I remember it being enjoyable to run.
I noticed your videos are all over the map. Do you travel for work and then fit these in?
Great video! When did you do this hike? I was doing the Massanutten Mountain Trail last spring, and much of the area was burned, so I'm thinking this is older?
I did this hike in fall 2024.
@@EasternHIKERSInteresting. I passed by about a 1/2 mile to the east of the intersection of Gap Creek and Duncan Knob trails March 19 2024, and much of it was a burned-out hellscape. I had originally planned to take a detour up to Duncan Knob, but parts along Gap Creek trail were still burning.
