Maybe it comes from the Alan Hinds version (havent listened), but in BB's the Ab dom7 is an Ab maj7. I have a hard time not hearing it that way. Great lesson though and I really dig the Zep quotation. Thanks!
Yeah okay cool I'll check it out - the Ab chord here is an inversion of the Fm (Fm9/C) and then an Ab9 in the turnaround. SO many ways to handle a minor blues so have some fun with it and experiment with your sounds & licks. Cheers!
