- Today we are happy to bring to you the latest from the Laco lineup. . . the new series of Squad Dive Watches. These are serious purpose built divers, that help to bring together two distinctly different styles, dive watches and pilot's watches.
Check them out at:

Thank you for watching. - Навчання та стиль
The blue looks awesome. Laco makes really good watches, they certainly deserve more attention and recognition.
They sure do, thank you.
I like the idea of having different coloured hands, it makes reading the time at a quick glance a lot easier.
Sure does. Very legible.
Nice looking time piece 😊
Clean looking watch, thank you for the review.
Another great video. Thanks. The blue version is really nice.
I dig it. I like that it's original and has a bit of a sporty yet classy look. Looks sturdy as well. Might have to consider Laco as I'm in the market for another dive watch.
Thanks for checking it out.
Nice looking piece with great movements... great job.
Thank you.
Those are killer! I can't pick a favorite. All of them look great!
Blue!
These are really nice! Loving that blue one.💙
Thanks! Me too :)
Pure class.
Onwards and upwards!
Thanks.
Definitely something different. With Laco, you are ensured of quality.
Another great review ... thanks Marc.
Thanks Eddie.
Cool looking divers for sure
Thank you.
Very nice. Especially the orange one.
Me like the blue :)
I hadn't seen these models before! Nice!
Thank you.
Great looking dive watch. IMHO, sixty click bezels is the way to go. They always line up correctly. That bezel action looks perfect! I have no need foe another diver, but this one will be on my list when I do! Thank you for a great review Marc!
True, this one was crazy bezel action.
Love my Atacama and Tundra Squad watches...
I happened to pick up the Atlantik Version on the Bracelet. This is a very cool watch. A true tool diver.
It’s different to have a Laco that’s not a pilots watch.
Nice pickup!
I really enjoy your videos. Looking forward to seeing your video on the new Laco Cuxhaven and Bremehaven. There are very limited photos or videos on these at the moment. Please do one soon.
Thanks. Will do.
they nailed the styling on these.
I think so.
Beautiful watches. I'd buy all 4 if only I could! The green for spring the orange for summer the blue for autumn and the white for winter. Awesome!
Damn, are you on the Laco marketing team? You should be lol
Nice slogan.
2:18 "Lets peel that off" Sounds to me like you're keeping that one lol 😎😎😁😁
Haha, never know. . .
Nice looking piece that's well spec'd; however, seems a bit pricey for yet another, relatively "me too" offering in an otherwise already saturated dive watch market.
Laco is definitely great quality though
Yeah, but they have their own styling and I feel their quality is tops.
All the more watches to get saturated in and enjoy...
@@islandwatch marc how would u compare qualitywise this to a squale 1521?
Dang it!!! Can't decide between the blue or green
really nice design and color options
Thanks.
My old Atacama Squad watch is 60click. Mine is more of a tactical type watch vs a diver. I personally like Himalaya and the Amazonas
the blue is eye catching, contrasting with the black background and stainless case
Thanks, it sure is.
I know this is latw but would you pick this over a mido oceanstar? In canada theyre both similar in price.
One of the hottest casebacks ive ever seen!
Really nice!
How do these compare to Sinn 104 and Damasko Divers, quality wise?
I agree, a little pricey on a rubber strap, if a tiny micro brand like Maen can offer a dive watch on a bracelet with an Eta 2824 elaborate grade movement for $ 450 then it would seem therez some serious price gouging going on here on Lacos part
I can't say as I don't know the brand, but this is Made in Germany, and there is a 2 layer distribution method. And it's an established company with overhead.
On the ad-mail I received that has the four watches you review are the Laco Cuxhaven and the Laco Bremehaven. God--I love those watches. These look so fine and neither has a bezel. Die, bezels, just die!. I bought a Bambino from you after Christmas. God--I love this watch, too.
We will soon!
There isn't much info on the others, "Daintree", "Malawai", etc. What
is the difference between that lineup and the one you're showing us now? Those others I mentioned seem to be a little less expensive, why?
The Blue one is unreadable when its getting dark before the lume kicks in. blends in perfectly in diminishing light
Interesting. I like the splash of color for each individual piece, but are they really 42mm diameter? They look bigger than that on your 6 3/4 inch wrist.
Alan Prak: My guess is that the case diameter is 42mm and the bezel is 44mm.
Slim bezel kind of does that.
Collect all four!
It's a goal!
What was it you said on a previous video about water resistance on a Pilot’s watch? If a pilot needs a serious amount of WR, he’s in trouble! 😂
Yup!
Fancied a Laco for a while now or is that ALL German watches? I think that a very different offering and the quality shines through. Love the colour ways, dimensions and the case back too. Price is very reasonable for a 300m diver that’s not a micro brand and has history.
Right on, no micro brand here.
I have read that this Laco is a 17 Jewel movement but they offer an upgrade to 24 or 22 jewels. Is that correct and what version are you selling.
No, its an ETA 25 jewel 2824. This is elabore grade.
Lovely watch, but most Laco watches are a bit large tip to tip for my wrist.
Beautiful watches, simple and elegant. "pilot's dive watch"? I guess for when the pilot has to ditch in the ocean?
What would you buy between the Laco and the Steinhart Ocean 39 GMT ‘Batman’
Laco by far
I like it, seems on par with the squale actually. Probably needs to be a few hundred less to be competitive.
A few hundred less would be extremely competitive.
Fairly new to the hobby. What did you mean by the term "double domed"? I always love your reviews. I always learn a lot from listening to you. Thank you for making these videos.
Domed inside and out; does not give any magnification or distortion.
Over 4200 views already... That's really great...
Thanks.
For when you want to desk dive while standing up
LOL, true!
I hope that in ur next vid u acquire the himalaya model and when u do a wrist watch check you casually state “im wearing this laco model cause im the playa from the himalaya, boom!”
LOL, thanks!
As a lume snob, wouldn't it be possible to charge one of the watches so we can see the full potential of the lume? Because on camera it didn't come across as very impressive for a diver in that price range. Beatiful watches though, but if the lume isn't up to snuff, that's a deal breaker..
Yeah, I admit the composition of the shot wasn't great.
Do you plan on doing a video for the Cuxhaven and Bremerhaven?
Yes, I will.
Long Island Watch
Great, thanks.
Those are beautiful. Currently out of my price range. The devil is in the details. Nice.
Still nice to admire.
Mark, your watch reviews are my favorites. Excellent quality.
They are truly beautiful pieces, and Laco is one of my favourite watch brands out there, but I just can't shake the feeling that if you need a Pilot's Dive Watch, you're doing it wrong (or in a Gerry Anderson TV programme.)
Perhaps they should re-orient them and aim at the Alpinist market instead. A tad pricey though but not so much I wouldn't buy one if I'd got the readdies.
Thanks for checking it out.
I dont go where fish live!! No use for chunky clunky clocks! Lol
LOL
and you took the blue one first .... ;)
What else to do!
Not sure I'd want to fly in an aircraft where the pilot had a dive watch. Does he know something about the aircraft we don't? :)
Visited the Laco Factory last month and their staff told me these watches were largely designed by German Special Forces. Seeing them up close ... I don't doubt that they were designed by German SOF. Lot of watch for the money.
Or a lot of money for the watch.
A land based arachnid on a dive watch?
I guess its air, sea and land?
My atlantic came in light blue instead of the dark blue they were advertising on the pictures, the same dark blue that you've got here and the slight change in the shade from dark to bright makes it look very different and now im pissed off and feel scammed, beware buyers.
They look nice but too big for me. I wish I had at least a half more inch of wrist space to fit into these larger watches. Mark, I know you like big watches but that looked way to big on you. I have a Tisell and the weight of it hurts my wrist so perhaps you have strong wrists and I need to strengthen mine. I wear a little bit each to get used to it or maybe it is just a heavy watch. Much more than any seikos I have. I happen to like divers as you can use them for many things like swimming and snorkeling. I would imagine some do dive with them. They are usually made rugged and can take abuse,
It's all how you feel, not what other's think I try to take that rationale with me everywhere, with everything. Not just watches :)
@@islandwatch It's really the weight. For example, I just bought a microbrand Ttisell. It looks similar to a submariner. it has a Miyota 9015 movement 28,800 vph, the same as many high-end watches but the movement is Japanese and is in a lot of microbrands. It's heavier than anything I have which is mainly Seikos in the 200 to 300 range. Nothing special. It hurts my wrist to wear. I am trying to wear it small amounts at a time to get used to it.
One thing I really enjoy about your channel is you have many microbrands I never have seen before and they are fun to look at. I do have to sell some watches to buy others. Also, your Engineering background helps you understand how the inner workings. A huge advantage over me. I appreciate you sharing your knowledge with everyone on the how-to videos. I was able to change some bands and batteries after buying a watch kit. I would think those videos helped others as well.
The specs are pretty much standard for any decent watch. The price is daunting - not great value. I wouldn't pay that much for it. The lume does not look impressive - maybe that's because of the lighting. Good looking timepiece though. You've covered all the main points - thanks.
Deepak Mirchandani agreed. It’s hard to want to pay over $1k for a micro brand specially when there are brands such as Phoibos with its Reef Master which is better spec’d in every way for about 5x less money. I understand this one is made in Germany and what not, but it is far away from being good value.
@@carlmanu laco isn't really a micro brand, and I managed to get the mojave for $585 usd brand new, so I'm not complaining at all.
$1,130?! Ha wow
Yeah, I know.
Pilot's Dive Watch? If you are a pilot, and you have the need for a dive watch you are probably dead since you've crashed into the ocean.
Yup!
Not the best "lume" shot, barely discernible.
I think it was the attempted group shot.
