I have the mustang seat you got. You'll love it. I was torn between that and the saddleman and honestly like the look of the diamond pattern of the saddleman more, but a test ride was all it took. You'll be happier with the mustang.
New Sub, I've been riding on a Mustang seat since 2009, put nearly 80k on that heritage, traded it in 2020 for an 18 RoadGlide, put a new Mustang touring seat on that RoadGlide, put 50K plus on that seat. Traded that RoadGlide in on a new 24 RoadGlide, waiting on Mustang to come out wit on for the 24s which should be around Daytona time frame. the seat on the 18 RoadGlide wouldn't fit the 24, so I'm going sell it. has the back rest and passenger seat. if it would have fit the 24, it would be on it ready to smash some more miles. Thank you for sharing!
I just got my first Harley. 2022 RGS, other than color it looks identical, chopped pack, hand guards, Mustang seat, lower farings, etc. I believe the mustang was slightly altered by the previous owner. It is wearing my tailbone out. I was looking at the Saddlemen so thank you for your review and opinion. I think you talked me out of it. I just moved the bars forward a little in hopes it rolls me forward off my tailbone. I may have to get the seat altered again in the near future.
You should get ya a Condor bike stand/chock for the front wheel if you haven't yet. Put it in the garage anywhere ya want and it will keep the bike straight up for ya. I keep mine parked on it. Love the new seat, might have to check them out. Heard nothing but good stuff about Mustang seats. New Sub, ya got me at the end!!!
So I’m seeing a lot of used Saddlemen seats available along with not good comments on the Saddlemen seats, my thought is, if you have to ride over 5K before broken in,, I don’t believe you can return it after 5K miles, why would I want to spend almost $500-1K for a seat that will be uncomfortable for 5K miles, just saying… I’m not seeing hardly any bad comments or negative reviews on Mustang seats, I’m in the market for a 2 up seat and it maybe a Mustang but not a Saddlemen seat for sure. Thank you for sharing your video. Ride on!
Hope you find something good. Remember that Harley has demo seats sometimes. I have seen a couple dealers where they have had Mustang deluxe seats as a demo which has been cool.
None of the seats have tailbone relief which is what I need for all day comfort. The Pro Pad SuprCruzr gel pad does have tailbone relief, and has been a better solution for me than any seat I've tried, and I've tried most of them, and spent a lot of money I wish I could have back now.
My 2022 Road Glide ST has a Saddlemen SDC seat on it now. The pillion is too small so I’m looking over options. How do you like it a year later? How’s it do in rain? New subscriber also
This seat is hands down one of my favorite things about this bike. I love how I can go full tanks, gas station to gas station and not be sore in long trips. As for rain, when I moto camp I do cover the bike if it’s going to rain overnight but it still gets wet during day use. That being said I noticed it doesn’t hold moisture as bad as my saddlemen seat did. I still have not one single complaint other than the price. But you get what you pay for. Hope this helps.
Well, welcome to the channel and thanks for the comment. If you’re a person who likes watching Modo Vlogs, when you get a chance, take a look at my other videos if you do. A lot of random commuting, and traveling while recording.
We bought that seat, back rest & passenger back rest last year in mid august and have eight or nine thousand miles on it. It's still stiff and not real comfortable but we put "purple" cushions on them. We're hoping the seat itself loosens up but the cushions really make it nice and raises me up a touch making it even easier to see over the 10 1/2" Klockwerks.
I don't know how many miles you've ridden on yours but like I said, we've put on 8 or 9k and it's a good seat. If you decide you want a little more cush till it's broken in, try the Purple brand cushions. Cheap, super effective and they stay on the seat with out having to be strapped down. P.S : Just went to the shop and checked, 9,394 miles on it. Installed it July 29th. I have a Mustang seat (different) on the Road King. The Super Deluxe is on the Limited. The three piece combo looks great. Thought abour matching lid covers but haven't so far.
Yep, got tired of spending good money on seat after seat that ended up a bitter disappointment. I now use a Pro Pad SuprCruzr Sheepskin cushion, highly reviewed on their website, on my bike, and for me, it has been more comfortable than the Mustang, the Saddlemen, Corbin, Ultimate seats, all of which I did not find comfortable. The only seat I found worth a damn was the Russell Day Long, but I wouldn't recommend doing one unless you can ride in for the fitting. The great thing about a good seat cushion is you can take it from bike to bike, even on fly and rides to give you a comfortable seat on rentals. And I put function above form all day, every day, so a seat cushion on my seat doesn't bother me in the least.
Hey T.A.M., loved the 3 "goof-ball" moments!👍🤓! 1.) I won't repeat what said about your wife's posterior size. 2.) The "old man pappy" seat!👍😁 3.) First time you've seen me without a hat on-I'm not bald!👍😁 4.) You need to get into a "hug-fight" with your wife! 5.) With more video presentations, you'll get comfortable with speaking to/with people in person and it will be very natural to you. You'll get better soon as you get this action underway! Yes, there will be frustrations, but, that's a part of the healing process chief. You'll be great at the end of this journey. Doug🦅🤓👍🏍️🐻⭐⭐⭐

I really think that’s going to be my next video. I absolutely am in love with it. The heat part of it is a game changer for me. Comfort side of it is absolutely amazing. What’s the part number on the passenger back pad? Is that on an Avantblack chopped tour pack or is that a stock HD… thanks
