    *I love it! **Fastly.Cool** and Warming environment perfectly controlled. Being able to track history temp and humidity takes all the guesswork out of the equation. Had it for two weeks now and it has been flawless!*

    I quite like the Tado, but charging a monthly fee for automatic geofencing is dirty.

      I am happy I was an early client and are not bound to the monthly recurring costs. I do agree I don't like that.

      I have the tado system you don't have to pay for the geofencing option its free the difference is that one turns it off automatically we're the option gives you an alert so you still get geofencing

    Thanks for the video….. this is a tremendous help. I’m trying to work out the best heating for my first hmo. Would this be good for individuals coming home to specific rooms do you think?

    • @RichManPoorTech
      @RichManPoorTech  2 роки тому

      The Tado trv valve heads shown in my other video might me more sutible, for each individual room, but remember that there won’t be heating to the radiator if the boiler is off, if it’s for a house where occupants go out for the day like student’s or workers, then this smart thermostat will save on the heating as would the smart trv, while typing this I’m out of the house with my wife saving on our heating

    From all this is fewls like tado cost more to buy as all are separate cost then they rob you by charging for features . It has less options

    Really disappointed with my Tado. It’s not smart because they quietly removed Opentherm from the UK model without telling anyone. If you really want to save money, use Opentherm (ie not Tado)

    not using it for environment. although it does that to.
    i live in a flat. and we have whole block heating. i am only recieving hot water. so the radiators only had thermoknobs.
    i want some control and comfort. i replaced all the knobs with tado smart version. and controle it with the app. i live alone, so i didnt need the central tablet.
    i set a agenda for the heating. low at night and when gone. modest when i am at home (i like cold).
    i prefeur 19C, i put it on 20 with visitors. but i noticed that the living and kitching area the knob is hidden away. meaning it was much hotter than the room. and so it didnt give a good tempature. so i added a thempature sensor for the livingroom/kitchen.

    With the weather control, is it possible to set the heating only to come on if the outside temperature is below a certain level?
    We only need the heating on in the morning if the outside temperature is below about 7 degrees

    • @RichManPoorTech
      @RichManPoorTech  Рік тому

      Not from the app by default but you could probably set a automation in apples home kit, or from another service like IFTTT or alexa possibly with a temperature sensor

    I have a house which we share with lodgers.
    Do you know if the Tado's geofencing can work per room?
    i.e. if Lodger A is coming home, it will heat Lodger A's room only?
    Or if a room upstairs (room A) is below the desired temperature, but other rooms like living room (room B) is already at the right temperature,
    can the valve upstrairs tell the boiler to turn on and heat up room A,
    but the valve in room B not turn on because it's already warm?
    Would be great to have your advice!

      the radiator valves can be set to change temperature independently for example when my daughter goes to school in the week her radiator is turned down, while the radiator in my office stay's at a constant temp, when we all go out the temperature in the whole house is turned down, and each room can be adjusted on the fly, and then re schedules later.
      As for lodgers having separated geofencing i believe that cant be don as such, but if they have a iphone (i dont know about android) then the homekit app can be used to change just a radiator valve, however the radiator valve wont trigger a boiler that is off to come on, but again the homekit app may be able to raise the boiler thermostat as well its just something i havn't tried
