Diving - Flinders Pier - 1 April 2024

Headed out for an early (6:30am) dive at Flinders Pier, Victoria.
1 April 2024 - Easter Monday.
And what an amazing dive! Plenty of weedy sea dragons and other marine life - even a decent sized ray (and a fishing rod!)
Filmed on a GoPro 11 with a bit of lighting. Also fitted the Backscatter macro lens to the GoPro, to capture some sea dragon close ups - (02:28, 03:13, 04:06, 05:05, 05:51 and 06:29).
Water temp 18 deg, viz 7-8 metres, depth, 4-5 metres (ebbing tide) and dive time - 70 minutes.
Dived with Danny from DiveLine and his buddy Andrea - thanks chums, had a ball!

Unfortunately, I will never return to Flinders Pier again in my life. I refuse to pay parking for a town that has one shop that’s worth visiting.

Yup. And I'm tipping the rest of the Peninsula car parks will all be Fee based before too long. Greedy council. Good thing we have the dives on video, huh?
