SOLI DEO GLORIA!
Headstock looks like it could open a beer.
A buddy of mine says the same thing about my evh wolfgang😂
Any guitar headstock can open a beer
Yeah we're Piss heads Down Under!!
Everything is a bottle opener if you want it bad enough. But also great idea, purpose built bottle opener headstock
And it probably does. We like a nice cold one down under.
Thanks so much for the video and your constructive criticism!
Sorry that you got one with such a plain neck, usually the flame is pretty prominent!
Hope you like your shark, and have a wonderful day!
Yup
can this exact model be made left handed?
I think your guitars are absolutely beautifully designed and built. Innovation comes to mind. Guitars have been so boring for so many years. You have brought something new to the table. I wish you great success.
@@pattol666 no you lefty freak.
Ormsby has been killing it the past few years. They make some genuinely original and beautiful instruments. Also super glad to see multi scale guitars becoming more popular.
Yeah, i love Kmac2021's Ormsby Green Screen guitar
Dino's Mad Max signature is bad ass
@@dommadonia9207 yep, I would just like to see one with 2 pickups
Now this is a guitar like no other - with an absolutely insane quilt top!
I was pretty nervous about playing a fanned-fret guitar, but it didn't feel bad at all :)
Enjoy!
And it really helps having those hammerhead inlays to properly execute your hammer ons!
How much does this guitar cost? You never tell us the price. Why?
Travelin' Ted, he mentioned that after shipping from Australia it’s about $2,000. He mentioned it when he was talking about the shark route quality.
I think it helps that the fan seems to be centered around the 9th fret, rather than the 12th fret as some brands do. This makes the fan less extreme at the cowboy chord area, which is nice.
Awesome, but plenty of Hammerheadstock Dive!!
But you never played that super high note.
Chris Stout lol I thought the same thing! Let’s hear the dog whistle!
THIS.
ugh
Will that hammer head help with my hammer ons?
$2000.00 in bait to catch this sucker! Ouch. but she is beautiful and what a cool unique twist.. Added to my dream list.
@Vincent Hippler They're still korean guitars. I'm sure they're great but 2 grand for a Korean instrument by WMI is a bit steep.
The finish on that is so subtle, yet so defined! Easily drew me to it! Another awesome showcase man!
subtle? It has a shark on it, an ocean, and a beach.
Darrell, you're channel has always been inspiring and informative but this is just Awesome! Thanks for the great content brother!
That guitar might have the most stunning finish I've ever seen... What a beauty. I even really like the headstock, too, which is a quite rare thing for me on guitars that aren't Fender, Gibson or PRS.
Ormsby is cutting edge. You’ll never see those brands try what he’s so gifted at creating. It reminds me of shooter mcgavin sheepishly trying to learn to swing like happy Gilmore.
I own all those brands too! But getting your hands on an Ormsby… that’s like a quest. A worthwhile one.
8:15 "here at warmoth guitars..."
Your videos are so calm and entertaining to watch. I’ve been debating learning guitar, but have been hesitant considering how long it takes to be even decent at it. Your videos seem to always make me lean towards trying every time.
Been waiting a lifetime for a video like this. Thanks Darrel, you the man!
That's one of the most beautiful guitars I've ever seen.
And it sounds great.
Super cool.
Amazing Guitar, what an absolute fantastic look ... Thx Darrell
Such a beautiful axe... you can tell the builders care and took extra time.
5:01 He whistled when he said quilted lol
one of the best looking guitars i have ever seen,,,just wow,,,and the clean tones sounded fantastic
I had the pleasure of playing one of these at my local guitar shop and you could instantly hear and feel that it’s worth every penny at least in my eyes.
Love the appreciation and love for our own Aussie guitars! If Ormsby weren't a very specific kind of guitar manufacturer is buy one myself, they look lovely and I've heard they all play wonderfully
I love it ! It's absolutely amazing! Everything about it !
PLEASE don't start playing the Baby Shark song!!!
Doo doo doo...
don't give him any ideas
looks so good with the pickup right up against the fretboard
gorgeous guitar. Ormsby is killing it right now!
Good honesty in the review. Talking about the pros and the cons. Quality stuff.
I'm amazed that the inside line of the shark cutout wasn't sanded. It would only take a few minutes to do. I work in a factory making acoustic guitars and we sand and cleanup the bracing on the inside of the top, which no one ever sees! Unacceptable on a very prominent feature of a guitar.
True that! I'm not a luthier, but I'm thinking of starting to design my own guitars, and those kind of details would be very high on my list! I want to be able to say that even the details you might not see are spot on. For example, I would want to have a very clean neck pocket, nicely routed cavities that don't like they're unfinished, but that are actually sanded and so on.
I just love to have details.
But indeed, that is rather unacceptable
Not surprised
One of the first things I noticed. Looks awful.
What a piece of 💩
I have an one of these guitars. The cutout on mine is perfect. No hairy wood.
Wow Darrel, I've never expected to see you with an Ormsby.
Thanks for reviewing it
Nice Darrell. Thanks.
Ive been wanting that guitar for so long! and this video just made me want it more!
Thanks for a great demo.I enjoyed watching it and that guitar sounds amazing 👏 I am a new Ormsby fan and follower now.
Finally!! Been waiting a long time for you to go multiscale!!
As light as that is, I'm surprised they didn't leave a little more wood in the far end of the body to counter the dive.
Jenni Ludes I agree- they certainly had the leeway to do that
It's already a baritone guitar, putting more wood behind the bridge would make the guitar as big as a bass. The only solution is not chambering and making the body thicker.
Wow beautiful instrument!
That finish is beautiful
G'day from Down Under. Great genuine honest review im tired of these infomercial you tubers who get free guitars and give biased reviews. Good to see Brauny is loyal to his viewers. Hope everybody is practicing plenty in quarantine.
Nice intro Darrell ! Love it!
That is a beautifully built guitar! Outstanding craftsmanship!
Beautiful
you're gonna need a bigger case
😂👍
Shred you son of a -
Lol... Nailed it.
Farewell and adieu fair spanish ladies
Nnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnice
What a gorgeous guitar.
What a gorgeous guitar!!
Whoever designed this was a genius, damn it's sexy.
Superrr guitar with excellent display...
Thank you for rekindling my interest in the Ormsby Shark. I've been eyeballing those guitars for the past 8 years! It's about time someone did a proper review of one of these! I found a 2017 Ormsby Limited Edition Blood Bath Shark, I'm going to grab.
Gorgeous!!
that beach to ocean deep, so cool 😍
That thing is a work if art. One of the prettiest guitars I've ever seen.
beautiful finish...
Gorgeous.
Middle position sounds SO good. I want this.
I have made a few multiscale guitars in the past and Ormsby was my inspiration.
Ormsby makes such awesome guitars. I love their headless guitars.
Awesome review 👍!
Man, I don't think I saw a guitar calling me like that one... Beautiful guitar, and a beautiful video.
That is an amazing guitar, I really want one now
Awesome to see you trying out some Aussie-Made guitars... Certainly a very unique find! Thanks for sharing :)
Beautiful guitar
I have one of these as well and it is an absolute dream. I guess I never noticed the neckdive because I play it in a classical type of position, but after trying it now, can definitely agree with what you mentioned. Can't wait to pick up another Ormsby in the future. Great review and playing, dug that little pick slide technique!
Great review
Love the quilted looks on a 🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸
I haven’t been here in a few weeks but I love the new intro!
I have the "blood bath" red/black version of this. Nice guitar! Built a multiscale with them as well on the guitar building course they run. Good dudes.
Beautiful guitar 👌❤️
Wow! Really cool guitar!
Fantastic split on that humbucker!
The opposite pickups is really an optical illusion. Love it
Amazing finishing damn...
👋from Perth in Western Australia!
Hey, amazing review. I eagerly await my Goliath Shark. So I got to find your channel.
The best videos 🤘🏻🇨🇱
The Whistle when he said quilted.....cool whip!!
Cool wwwwhip😂🤣
I always watch these videos and think I wish I could afford a guitar more like that
Yeeesss, a DBG video 😭 been waiting for a new one, even dreamt about guitars last night
Darrell you do the best reviews !! I love my DBG shirt 😁
Impresionante Saludos desde México!!!
(Whenever I check out a Darrell Braun Guitar video, I'm always impressed by how nice, professional, and classy he is...)
As an Australian, I’m glad to see some love given to an Aussie made guitar.
Love your new opening tune. So METAAL
Great guitar- looks good sounds good.
I love those shark inlays! Paul Reed Smith, eat your heart out.
That thing is gorgeous!
That guitar is beautiful! I got to try the 7 string version, played for a few minutes the other day and it was just awesome! But way beyond my budget.
Dayum, I need one! Or some quilted maple to build one. Maybe in an explorer shape? I don't know. Nice guitar though Darrell!
I have to say it....you deserve more subscribers...and loving the 🦈 🤘🏼😈🤘🏼
Awesome, you're reviewing an Ormsby!.
Beautiful wall-hanger in a lovely Living Room.
The quilt is stunning on that. I don't like blue on guitars, but that actually works for me, hence the theme. Only other bad thing is the angled bridge and bridge pick up. The neck pick up looks fine, but it just looks warped. I love the input Jack location, that is genius. Even the headstock looks pretty cool, like a tuna fish can opener.
Thanks for sharing Darrell, a real beauty!
The inlays ARE mother of pearl
Darrell hace que cualquier guitarra suene épica!!!
the new intro is cool 🤘🏽
I love ormsbey headstocks they're so unique
I just picked one of these about two weeks ago! Although I got the black into red finish and it is absolutely stunning
beautiful guitars, I'm a little bias being Australian but they really are a great guitar and so unique
I love the position of the neck pickup
It's wonderful. And the details are "off the hook" 😉
Predatorian nice one!
The shark cutout looks 3D with shadows - nicely done. The top and paint job are perfect. The headstock looks like an open shark mouth to me. I do like the shark themed guitar esthetic. If the guitar was hanging from a strap, I think the fan frets would feel even more comfortable. Cool
Goodness nice! Very nice lookingn
Cool guitar
Nice new intro Darrell!
Awesome
The ending of the intro always cracks me up
