Did this plant tour a few months ago. It was not at all what I was expecting for a factory and I expected robots and automation. It's really more crafting than traditional manufacturing. The amount of precision and care into each rig is amazing!
My parents bought a 1967 22ft Winnebago Motor home and we enjoyed it very much, We used to go to the factory every August for the National Winnebago rally. Great memories
Excellent video. Nice to see how well engineered the Winnebago manufacturing processes integrate ergonomics and well designed process flow to build the product from beginning to end. All the new technology in place to create many pieces from different metals. Must be a wonderful place to be an engineer to continue to keep these facilities updated with the technologies to build high quality RV's
Angie this was the best factory your I have ever watched and I have been through a lot. I was a Mac Tools Distributor for over 20yrs and toured all there made in America facilities along many others. Your presentation was a 10 out 10. We've been shopping for a Navion/View and now I'm totally sold on the Winnebago thank you.
Hi ANGIE . This tour of WINNEBAGO factory is awesome. Like always you look amazingly beautifull. You melt my heart . Youre doing great. I love the tour . This is an eye opener. Thank your the very info tour.
I am more and more impressed with Winnebago's build and design quality. I'm going to buy a new RV in Spring 2021, and have looked at several makes, but they all fall short in many areas of what Winnebago does. Thanks for this.
I was given a tour of this Winnebago Plant at Forrest City several years ago by my nephew Reggie Andersen who worked there many years. It was the most interesting tour I have ever taken. If you ever get a chance to tour it please do.
Most excellent tour!!! So rare to get this much detail. So glad NIRVC is willing to do the very in depth walk throughs of products and now this detailed tour. Thank you.
Exactly Gene! Winnebago has an incredible history! Very similar to Newmar and their cultures blend well together! All positive for Winnebago and Newmar owners.
Thank you Angie, you're a doll. We just purchased a Adventurer 37F, Gas, 2015 so super excited to RV for the first time. Winnebago cost us out of our original budget but well worth it for the long haul. Cheers and God Bless!
Once again Angie, you did your homework and it shows! Great in depth tour with insightful questions and pertinent comments. Looking forward to our Winnebago coming off that line someday soon. Thanks!!!
This is the most impressive factory tour we have seen. This definitely has got our attention when we purchase a coach in a few years. Great quality as far as we are concerned.
Angie all of the Prevost conversion manufactures plus Newell needs for you to do the videos for them. You do the most indepth tour of Rv's, coaches out there.
Thank you for an informative tour. I have toured many factories in my engineering career and i really liked hearing the reasoning behind their factory processes. Winnie was at the top of my list and now there is no other choice. I'm looking for a 25b layout and confident a used model will meet my needs within my budget.
Thanks so much for the Tour! With the announcement of Winnebago/Newmar buyout, even with your company's assurance, I was concerned about the changes. This video put those concerns to rest. As always, great video, Angie!👍👍
Thank you so much for such an in depth tour. We are going to be at the Winnebago Factory service center in October but I doubt they are going to be doing tours yet.. thanks again!
You have very pleasant interviewing skills, and at the same time you are able to help the viewer follow the logic of the manufacturing or assembly process by asking insightful questions and engaging the interviewees.
Great tour Angie. This really gives consumers more insight into the products they purchase. it also builds confidence in the story you as a retailer share with your customers. Keep up the informative videos.
Really interesting tour loaded with great info showing how a quality product is produced. Watched all 57 minutes,........and was wanting for more when it stopped!
This was a very interesting video. It would be worthwhile to document similar factory tours with other manufacturers. I have toured the Newmar factory, but you don’t get to see all of the processes as presented here.
Excellent tour video, great content, etc as usual. One minor point. Good to see the safety glasses, ear plugs, hi viz jacket, but, in factories, no heels please.
That was an amazing tour. The industry is getting a bad rep with people saying they are all rushing to manufacture as many as they can and sacrificing quality. Looks like they are doing a great high quality build. That was fun to watch. Wish there was more time spent on the Class B line. Possibly a revisit to spend more time there?
I have a 1974 Winnebago Chieftain 25' trailer my family and I still use to this day. Up until last year it still had the original carpet in it. The interior and exterior is still 99% original. Due to the longevity and the quality of this trailer, going through my grandfather, then my father, and now on to me, plus this video showing how they construct their modern RVs, next year when I upgrade to a new trailer, it'll most likely be another Winnebago. I do wonder after watching this, I wonder if they would be able to still produce some of the factory pieces that are worn out on my rig such as the tail lights and cupboard latches of days gone by. I may just want to stay in my unit for another year or two. LOL, or if they would want to put this in their show room as mine is still in excellent shape for it's age.
Angie, Thanks for the Amazing tour...Wow! What a facility..We use to own "Winnie" Brave. It was tough, and well built..looking towards a Class B soon. Winnebago considering nay future Class B Full slides (for space) w/dry bath & ini W/D hookup. They would dominate the Market in the Southwest. Shad in Az!
My Barbie had an original Winnebago RV complete with a green W. The tour was fascinating. It was great to see so many work on the line performing a wide variety of tasks. Winnebago has taken a huge leap forward with the BOLDT & it’s amazing Volta Lithium package. ANGIE: Do you know if on the BOLDT Winnebago could remove the Wardrobe and make it a shower so the back of the van is a dry bath?
They have done an amazing job with their Class Bs. I’m not sure if they could remove the wardrobe as you suggested. I’ll send them a note and get back to you! Thanks for watching our videos!
Yeah , in order to make A perfect Elegant Truck , this job is sooooo worthy role behind sence, to cut Any piece of high technic skill by Laser light , Thanks for Your Extremely job !!!
Does Winnebago put in a fender well in the event of a blown tire to stop a lot of damage. Which happens on a lot of camper's and motorhomes ? Also is the wiring pulled through the walls shielded to stop chafing ? If not it should be. I've been through several MH factories in Elkhart Ind. That are doing some pretty crappy wiring from a mechanics view point. Also is the seating upholstery better than what other manufacturers use that falls apart in 3-4 years with full time use ?
Thanks for watching! NIRVC owner, president, and CEO Brett Davis has worked to develop a solution to the blown tire you are worried about. It's called Rettroband. You can learn more here, including watching Brett drive an Entegra Cornerstone at 70mph while they remotely blow out the front tire, to demonstrate the effectiveness of Rettroband. www.rettroband.com/
A vertical manufacturer decreases costs and more importantly guarantees the supply of parts. I am curious if the long term result of the electro deposition paint is similar to galvanized metal in avoiding rust?
Very nice production. Not Falcon 9 or Dragon at SpaceX but legacy all the same. Curious why Winnebago uses MCD blinds? Seems like a no-brainer for their capabilities.
With all due respect, Winnebago may be the world's oldest "Motorhome" manufacturer, but not the oldest RV manufacturer... that honor belongs to Airstream, which Wally Byam started in the 20's. Unfortunately today it is owned by Thor.
I grew up in a time when an RV was simply a "Winnebago". There really wasn't anything else when it came to motorcoaches. ...well, unless you converted an old bus of some kind.
This goes to show that it doesn't matter, if it's a good reputable brand, they all use modern techniques and material, and pride. And the chassis, engine and expense of the material, solid wood vs. other makes a lot of cost difference. Gotta say that floor design looks very robust..
I didn't learn a whole lot. Spent most of the video staring at two people, craving to see more about why they made things the way they do. Some simple illustrations would have been a real boon instead of descriptions. That being said, there might have been some restrictions to protect Winnebago processes and technology that NIRV have no control over. In the end, I was left wanting. Interesting about the Winnebago production philosophy where they make 70ish per cent of what the install. The upside is that during COVID when parts shortages are as common as finding leaves on trees in the spring might solve this problem as long as they can get the raw materials. Plus it keeps more local Forest City people employed. Then again if there is a lack of HVAC parts or china toilets, then it really does not matter because the whole process is still delayed. I think Winnebago makes a pretty good product, so this does seem to work for them. Overall though the Motorhome industry is rife with stories of poor quality and leaving there customer abandoned without a working RV months after purchase.
Did this plant tour a few months ago. It was not at all what I was expecting for a factory and I expected robots and automation. It's really more crafting than traditional manufacturing. The amount of precision and care into each rig is amazing!
I drive an 84 Winne....still going strong!👍👍
My parents bought a 1967 22ft Winnebago Motor home and we enjoyed it very much, We used to go to the factory every August for the National Winnebago rally. Great memories
Hi Craig! I’ve heard those are amazing rallies! I want to go someday! RVing is all about the memories you make! Thanks for sharing yours!
Thanks for having here
Thanks for this great tour and all the details. I am now looking ONLY for a (used) Winnebago.
Glad it was helpful!
I agree! I think it is a great place to work because so many of the employees have been there for 30+ years!! Speaks volumes!
Thanks Angie for showing us how RVs are put together. Winnebago looks top notch.
They are a great company! Thank you for watching our video!
Angie this was the best factory your I have ever watched and I have been through a lot. I was a Mac Tools Distributor for over 20yrs and toured all there made in America facilities along many others. This was a very impressive tour of Winnebago's facility. Great job Angie!
Thank you Robert! I’m so glad you enjoyed the Factory Tour. It was one of my favorite tours and videos!
I am more and more impressed with Winnebago's build and design quality. I'm going to buy a new RV in Spring 2021, and have looked at several makes, but they all fall short in many areas of what Winnebago does. Thanks for this.
Great tour of the Winnebago factory! This was the best video tour of a RV Manufacture that I have seen yet.
Awe! Thank you so much David! That means the world to me! 🚎💙
Great tour. We came from Iowa but had never been to the Winnebago factory. Quite educational! Thank you & God bless.
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching our video!
I was given a tour of this Winnebago Plant at Forrest City several years ago by my nephew Reggie Andersen who worked there many years. It was the most interesting tour I have ever taken. If you ever get a chance to tour it please do.
Yes, I agree with you Marilyn! I highly recommend the tour when they start having them again!
Most excellent tour!!! So rare to get this much detail. So glad NIRVC is willing to do the very in depth walk throughs of products and now this detailed tour. Thank you.
Angie, you are truly an elegant, intelligent, and classy lady. Thank you for doing what you do. I always look forward to your videos.
Awe! Thank you Sam! You made my day! I’m so glad you enjoy our videos!
Enjoyed the tour very impressed with the company. As a Newmar owner its nice to know the parent company has such a quality manufacturing base.
Thank you for the Love, Stephen! You definitely have a great taste and it reflects in your choice! Have a great time RVing!
I remember that motor home. Never had one but wanted one, I thought it was so cool at the time..
Once again Angie, you did your homework and it shows! Great in depth tour with insightful questions and pertinent comments. Looking forward to our Winnebago coming off that line someday soon. Thanks!!!
I'm impressed , thanks fot the tour Angie, really enjoyed it.
This is the most impressive factory tour we have seen. This definitely has got our attention when we purchase a coach in a few years. Great quality as far as we are concerned.

Very cool 😎 😮 … you did a great job, Angie.
Great job Angie!! Winnebago is very impressive. THANKS SAFE TRAVELS
Thanks Ron!
Angie all of the Prevost conversion manufactures plus Newell needs for you to do the videos for them. You do the most indepth tour of Rv's, coaches out there.
Oh, now wouldn’t that be fun! It would be interesting to compare them to what we sell! Thank you so much for taking the time to watch our videos. 😊
Is the water tank BPA free? any plastic chemicals can leak to fresh water? Great factory tour.
Thank you for an informative tour. I have toured many factories in my engineering career and i really liked hearing the reasoning behind their factory processes. Winnie was at the top of my list and now there is no other choice. I'm looking for a 25b layout and confident a used model will meet my needs within my budget.
Please let me know how we can help you! Angie@nirvc.com
I doubt that as well, but at least now you have a glimpse of what goes on inside those big buildings!
You have very pleasant interviewing skills, and at the same time you are able to help the viewer follow the logic of the manufacturing or assembly process by asking insightful questions and engaging the interviewees.
Thank you! ☺️
Thanks for sharing this It was well worth the time you invested. I learned so much.

How long does it take to manufacture a Micro Mini from start to finish?
A vertical manufacturer decreases costs and more importantly guarantees the supply of parts.

Can we see a review of Newmar Super C's. I like the was you do your reviews. Keep up the job.

About to roll out In my Winnebago
Lucky 🍀 you! I love the Winnebago coaches! What year and model do you have?
