    Day 4 of my empty next. Dancing and loving my new chapter. No sadness for me.

      I read this comment first and decided to give them the benefit of the doubt. The moment she mentioned that one can get prepared in anticipation and that nowadays the empty nest is not that common she lost me. There’s really no way you can mentally and emotionally prepare especially if you suffer anxiety and depression and you have a close relationship with your children. Without any intention to offend this like telling someone who has a close family member battling a terminal Illness that they can get prepared in anticipation so they won’t suffer the loss when the time comes, it’s impossible! You are still going to suffer the loss!
