This is absolutely my favorite town in Europe! It wasn’t bombed during the war, so it’s largely intact and has such a wonderful atmosphere, both summer and winter!
Rothenburg was bombed March 31st, 1945. 37 fatalities , 300 plus houses and a large section of city wall with 9 towers destroyed. And I LOVE the place.
What temperature were you experiencing? it looks really cold... haha. Rothenburg looks so magical on winter, like being inside a christmas crystal ball, love it.
Oh yes, it was very cold, but the glühwein always helps! And I agree about how beautiful it was. It’s like a fairy tale place anyway, but in the snow it was magical!
I have got to get to Germany and film for my Vlog once this dangerous worldwide situation is over. My parents were German but I have never been there.
It is a beautiful country!
It has such an atmosphere of the Christmas holiday with all the lovely decorations and the snow falling and the neck violence and the torture museum.
LOL!
How beautiful! Absolutely picture perfect that little town was with the snow falling down and the Christmas lights on!

Why Rothenburg is so popular?
Because ir represents a typical old German village and much of it survived the bombings during World War II. Also just because it’s beautiful.
