I forgot just how much wasted space existed inside Three Rivers Stadium when it was setup for football. Of all the multipurpose stadiums this one might have had the worst lower-level setup. To see cars parked inside the stadium (and plenty of room for more) is bizarre. Plus, the yellow/tan paint is really drab. They definitely spruced it up a bit in the 90s when Cowher was there.
This game is dedicated to the memory of Arthur J. Rooney, who died on August 25th, 1988. In this edition of the battle of Pennsylvania, the Steelers wear their AJR patch in memory of their late founder and the Eagles wear an AJR sticker on the front of their helmets to pay respects to the Steelers' late founder.
3:43 to 3:44 OMG Hardy Nickerson 😤 & Greg Lloyd😤 can you imagine if they were both in their prime the running back would get zero yards period.. That's a extremely terrifying pair😵💫😵💫😵😵
Both players were in their prime during this 1988 season, both Mike Merriweather & Hardy Nickerson wanted big paydays as they were worth it. Merriwether got his with the Vikings, Ditto for Nickerson with Tampa... the Rooney's never wanted to pay their stars
They were scheduled for a MNF at Pittsburgh in 1982 that was wiped out by the strike. It’s interesting that the Steelers and Eagles have never played each in prime time.
@jamiejohnson4524 That is True and an interesting trivia fact! Unfortunately 7 regular season games were canceled during the NFL Players Stike of 82,Unfortunately The Steelers vs Eagles game you mentioned was one of them. I wonder who would've won lol

These teams were all but set to meet in the SB after the 2008 season.... Philly didn't close the deal in the NCF title gm vs Ariz
I was born on 8-24-1982 in El Paso ,Tx and I was introduced to PITTSBURGH STEELERS football in the season of 1994
Love my Steelers
This was the Steelers Dark ages.

I remember when Cunningham was benched in favor of Rodney Peete. I thought they were on drugs.
This is the only game the Steelers played against the Eagles (Regular Season) in the 1980s.

The date for this game is November 13, not November 12.
Wgas wgaf
Brister to Hoge was better than Montana to Rice.
Click bait. 🙄🙄🙄
Thanks for the update
Type of dumb comment you’d expect a white guy to make
As a fan of neither, a great game to watch Dungys defense popping the crap out of Philly all day. Too bad Brister sucked.

Aaron Jones was a total bust as their #1 draft pick.
Merril Hoge should be in the hall of fame.
You're either joking or dumb.
Umm no he shouldn’t.
