How do you get this nice sound out of this bass? (i have the same bass which sounds not so good...)
there's nothing in particular, maybe it's just the way I play, there are no effects or anything ...

this bass was active/passive originally?
No, it's just an experiment I had done to listen to the bass sound before and after the preamp.
