I believe it's because he didn't think he loved her that much, so he realized how much he misses her. At the end of the MV, we see him knocking at her door, showing that he didn't give up on her. "What2Do (ft. Crush & Jeff Bernat)" - They fight constantly. He says "Even if I pour out all of myself, you will not be filled by me", he feels he's not enough for her but still wants to be with her.
