The beginning of the song always reminds me of Paul Simon's Me And Julio Down by the School Yard. That's a great song too. Good videos. I do believe I'll subscribe.
I watched this music video at summer camp in 2011 and have been trying to remember the name of the song and artist since then and someone posted a tiktok with the artist mentioned and it activated the sleeper cell in my brain and I finally located it and I feel like I just completed a treasure hunt this is so fun.
Hey, smart guys, Streetlight Manifesto was founded by an old Catch 22 member. That's why they sound so similar. The other band members are from another ska band. Hope that wraps that up.
both. Kalnokywas the lead singer in both bands and wrote the lyrics to the song, so he has the rights to it. When Victory Records asked him if they re-release it, he decided it would be better if they re-recorded it.both bands claim the rights to it.
this is streetlight the singer from streetlight basically wrote this whole album, lyrics, music all that. ever wonder why the new catch-22 sounds nothing like this? and streetlight sounds just like this?
it was the summer of 95 (so what?) in the backyard shaving the old plies. feeling so strong. something went wrong. straight into my finger what a stinger it was so long. i still remember that day like the day that i said that
Everything Goes Numb is what lead to their success and the fact that thomas had a good following, pretty everyone tried playing like OLD C 22.. He remade it the way he wanted, the original was already a classic, but with the extra horns here and there etc, it really wasn't needed. He was trying to perfect something that was already good, people that know their shit would agree with me.
Because Point/Counterpoint was derived from this, the parts where there's the brass buildup, I just wanna sing along to the "I got a gun in my hand but that gun won't cock etc.". Still a good song though.
The both have their great moments. Streetlight feels cleaner, but this one is so catchy..... I dunno. I think people just need to stop caring and enjoy both bands for what they are.
They are not the same band. Catch 22 is still touring. There was an argument following the release of the album Keaseby Nights and some of the members (including the vocalist, which is why you're getting confused, I think) started Streetlight Manifesto. Catch 22 got new members and the two bands went their own ways. SUPPOSEDLY there's no animosity between them now though, alowing for Streetlight's relatively recent release of their own version of the Keaseby Nights album.
ya i was and i can see where your coming from, but it wasn't a producers input that changed the song it was tom, the only thing im arguing is thats its not over produced, you can prefer which ever one you want, and i do think the original is a classic, when it first came out it blew my mind :) its what got me into ska

The both have their great moments. Streetlight feels cleaner, but this one is so catchy..... I dunno. I think people just need to stop caring and enjoy both bands for what they are.
Yay! Tasty!
They are not the same band. Catch 22 is still touring.
