... Have purchased many tarps over many years ,, my favorite is the DD Hammock 3mX3m ,, enough to set up dozens of ways and as you mentioned with enough tie loops to create a strong shelter in the worst of weather ...
I use the DD Hammocks 3.5x3.5 MC It's perfect for a tarp tent for me and my German Shepard and for a cover tarp on my Eureka Tetragon. I had a seamstress reinforce all attachment points.
I had a 2.90x3.50 tarp, which has a slight hexagonal shape, so the center is 3.50, but the sides about 3.00m. Now I got a rectangular 3x5m, for hammock camping. My old one had to be extremely close to the hammock, almost like a shell.
I use the DD hammocks 3.5 x 3.5 it’s great for me and my misses to hammock camp under and if it rainstorms I set up the tarp like a triangle with a pole and it’s a fully enclosed tarp tent . It’s big enough for 2 people and a small dog .
With your MacKenzie tarp you can get some tarp clips and make many more configurations. I bought a bag of 20 tarp clips for less than $10 USD. I have 2 10'x10' tarps. One has 19 attachment points and the other only 8.
Thanks! I own a magic tarp, too. The downside is that the magic carpets only have 4 stake out points at the corners. Still nice as they are very light and easy to out in your backpack.
I liked the video and we Americans appreciate you making them in English. Would you ever consider adding conversions when describing size and weight? He we buy things based on feet and inches vs pounds and ounces and you might prompt more folks to subscribe!
@@marlind.odermatt8108Just go metric. Imperial just makes 0 sense for anything and measuring stuff in swimming pools or football fields is also quite funny. But thats America :)
I use a mosquito net I bought on Amazon, but seems like it is discontinued. It is important that the net protects against the smallest mosquitos. Thanks for watching!

If you hammock camp you would appreciate the 3 by 4 meter tarp.

i own a 3x3m tarp and am thinking about buying a 2,1x1,5m tarp.
I mostly use a 5x7 or an 8x10
I use 3x3 tarp and it is big enough for weekend overnighters with my wife + pack of our dogs.
Kinky...

Good point, I will add pounds/feet in the future. Thanks for watching!
@grayssoncarl5020 if you don't want me to subscribe- just use metric measurements and all is good.

@@jepulis6674 Im not telling someone to do anything they don't want to. I will watch channels that want to appeal to Americans.
Cause there's no way you could possibly do the conversion yourself? (20 hamsters by 39 hamsters, weighs the same as a doe rabbit)
I have tried all sizes of tarps over 14 years and the smallest tarp works best for me, especially in strong winds
What mosquito net do you use? Id like to try tarping ”for real” but i also dont want to carry more weight than a tent..!

Helpful info. Thanks
Hey, would a motorbike fit under the smallest one just to get 75% off the rain off?
Hi, I am not a biker but I think it would fit. Thanks for watching!
Why not 100%
