- How to remove scratches from a car is a skill that every car owner should have. In this tutorial, I am going to show you how to do it using Meguiars Scratch X 2.0. This is being done without a buffing machine or drill attachment because many people simply do not have one of those. This is intended to be something for those who want a simple way to remove scratches.
Here is what I used...

Did this today with only Scratch X 2.0 and the Cleaner Wax. Amazing result! Thanks for the video. That Cleaner Wax is great, also removed some extra minor swirls on its own. Good stuff.
I am glad it worked for you
Yo bro.... general rule of thumb, you should remove tags from the cloth you use that will scratch up the clear coat... also... there is 5 layers on a cars surface
metal, primer, base coat, clear coat, wax... to test how deep the scratches are you got to do the wet test. Spray it with water and if it disappears and comes back right away that means it just scratches the clear coat.... scratch x would be enough to fill in those gaps so that it will reflect light so the scratch is unnoticeable.... however, the first scratch you worked on can still be seen... in this case it safe to assume that it’s a deeper than a superficial scratch on the clear coat.... you are going to need to put polish to cut into the clear coat and seal it with wax afterwards. If it still showing you that’s when you cut into it deeper by using Compound -> Polish.-> seal it with wax...
All true
This video is a life saver.

Flat palm and even stroke twice the area of the damage.on scratches twice the size of the pad area..... 30 yrs experience never use your fingers circular motion never press hard let the product do the work and it will !!! He did remove the scratches......
Looks great but are you using too much product?.....good results for an amateur. Can you also use a buffer for this procedure?
Good job
I could still see the scratch
Is it safe on ceramic coated cars?
Tried this but the scratches come back after a few minutes.
that just means you never truly removed the scratches
Flannel Guy DIY could weather possibly affect the outcome? Or am I not scrubbing hard enough cause I wasn’t scrubbing very hard and the scratches came back after a few minutes
@@luismartinez7267 Clear coats vary, some are hard, some softer. You might need to use a DA.
That car is like a freaking mirror.
Tried it on my 2020 car that unfortunately got its first scratch , and it worked! I was shocked haha. You can check out if you're intrested: www.carscratchremover.site/getyours
