Tate seems a lovely and bright lad. I remember following his career from afar watching the odd under 18’s games then Under 23’s , then seeing him for the First Team . I always thought he was going to make it and nearly every time I saw him play he was a cut above the rest. I had really high hopes for him and it is such a shame how hamstring injuries seem to have ruined his chances of making it at Blues . Good luck for the future and I hope to see you returning to football and playing in the Football League again 💙

What a smashing young man. So sorry that his fitness has spoiled his career which was so promising. Players in the modern
game need to be superfit to keep pace. Guess that's why teams need big squads to see out the season. Survival of the fittest.

I think this is where the modern rules fail players, if you notice once players hit 21 they get released because they have to be registered and count towards the squad allocation. I'm sure if the limit was 24 a lot more late bloomers could come through and players in Tate situation could get more time for their body to adapt to the rigours as they age.
