"Land of the Morning Calm" is a short film directed and produced by Joshua Huh and John Kim (Yea Joon Kim), both Juniors from BHCS (a Christian international school based in South Korea). We wanted to show the beauty of Korea's past, from the dazzling palace of the Joseon (Choson) dynasty, to the modern Lotte World Tower, the 5th tallest building in the world. We hope you enjoy.

I think the nicknames "Land of the morning calm" and "Hermit kingdom" are both nicknames of the entire Korean peninsula itself. North and South.

It comes from the korean word Joseon (조선, 朝鮮) meaning Fresh Morning. Joseon was the korean kindom from (1392-1897)
