Freddie Mercury Interview Musical Prostitute part 1
Вставка
- Опубліковано 4 лют 2007
- Perhaps the most famous interview of Fred. Filmed in Munich as the band were about to release the works album in 1984. Freddie was interviwed by Rudi Dolezal at Musicland Studios. Now with Subtitles.
By the way the stupid comments about "Arnold Schwarzenegger" are old and dated and NOT funny, I'm guessing that to those who say that they seem to cant differentiate between German accents. Rudi is a great guy who contributed towards making some of the best Queen/Freddie videos and documentaries amongst some of the greatest artists in the world.
I dont own this video, I have never received any form of monetary income. Under fair use policy this is kosher. This interview belongs to Queen Productions/Studios

Happy 75th Birthday Fred. Your light still shines bright and as strong as the years go by. People still love you and Queen.
Happy 75th birthday Mr. Fahrenheit. You will never be forgotten. Rest in peace
it's been 14 years how are you still here?!?!?
J
I always loved you Freddie Mercury great singer💕
Happy birthday???? Its impossible for a dead man to continue to get older in the grave. Freddie died at age 45. Therefore, Freddie remains a dead 45 year old body. Birthdays cease to exist once you die.

It is the weirdest feeling to miss an artist you’ve never met
Yep. It is :(
That's how I feel about Chester Bennington. His death hit me hard because I grew up on his music.
Frank Sinatra, Jimmy "The Rev" Sullivan, Chris Cornell, Lane Staley.
Init . He died when I was 3 years old . Why the fuck am I crying lol
Probably because I love music and the best has gone too soon .......... Yes I did just answer my own question lol
This interview is the perfect example of what cool should be like. Nothing flashy. Nothing that screams expensive brands. Just one hundred percent personality. Their mannerisms, their charm, their imperfections make me want to be like them. 2019 can take notes.
This is exactly what interviews are supposed to be.
Nowadays Interviews are just.... meh..... looks more like a PR stunt.
Ol school 🤸♀️👍
...and several cigarettes and some beer (or is it whiskey?) lol
I wish someone would invent a car GPS with Freddy's voice. "No,darling....take the next exit."
Man I would’ve loved that
That would be awesome
Until it shouts at you, MAKE A UTURN NOW, darling 😬😂
OMG Yesss !
We need to petition Google Maps now!
I love how he called everyone darling. His accent was amazing
Christina Davies YES, that’s exactly the problem with being a queen fan aka actually saying darling, dear or honey to someone and them being weirded out lol (I got it from Freddie because I have loved him for a decade almost lol)

Been and still is an avid Freddy Mercury and Queen fan....was stoked to have seen their concert twice....still love listening to Queen songs singing along at the top of my (false😂) voice....RIP Freddy!
He was a complete degenerate who loved to take it up the shitter everyday so much, he died from it, so yeah a bad ass in every sense of the word.
He drank and smoked everyday, yet he still never failed to have such a beautiful, unique voice.
Many people who drank and smoke get even greater voice great example Joe Cocker.
Luna Lovegood, LoL, I see no evidence in this interview that he smokes cigarettes.
And he still looked healthy

03:35 There's one lie in the movie. The band was outraged when he got a solo album option, and turns out Roger already did two albums.
That must have really put that interviewer at ease

Freddie can say “I hate talking to people like you” and make you feel loved and happy while he does it. Such an incredible man
He doesn't hate the person, he hates the action of talking to them, that does not mean he cannot be kind, interviewers are still people and he's a kind heart.

I loved his songs, but lately ive learnt his schooling was done from my country India and my state MS....feelig proud
This video in a nutshell:
Freddie pretending to be arrogant and intimidating for the first 14 seconds.
Rest of the video: real Freddie being soft, funny, polite, lovable, cute, adorable.
actually what went down: freddie be arrogant,,, then got nicer after he became inebriated and stoned
That's because he had Indian gene 😀
That’s true! But he didn’t want to show his kindness during the first meeting...

I am 46, when i was turning 9, my aunt asked me what i wanted for my birthday and i said to see Queen. So she took me to see them and it was my 1st concert, and i was enamoured by him. The way he moved on the stage, back and forth, such raw energy and sound!
a lucky man u are
I’m 46.. when I was 9 I wasn’t that hip into music I was Into playing, also the first music I kinda started to like in 82 was micheal Jackson , Van Halen , sting they were all very popular. But I think your full of shit.
In what year ?
Kimberley Vanderlinden your so fucking full of shit lady. You never seen queen at that time he was broke up with the band several years. And you definitely were not analyzing energy at the age 9. I’m calling bullshit.
@@jasonhayward7231 I'm personally not very interested in whether Kimberley has or hasn't seen Queen live. However, if you do the maths it must have been somewhere in 1980/1981 while queen was doing the game tour.
Such an amazing guy and talent really sucks that we lost him like that.
what i love about Freddie is that he knew that his music was universal and had different meanings to different people, a quote i love is ''you can do whatever with my image, my music, remix it, re-release it, whatever... just never make me boring'', to me that was just him, not him trying to stay in character or sound wise, just him being him, i bet he loved for example Weird Al Yankovic's version of another one bites the dust

There are so many people saying he needed to fix his teeth, no he didn't. Here in the UK we're not obsessed with straight, white, pearly teeth, but we still care about health. As long as his teeth were healthy who cares? It's Freddie Mercury for crying out loud.
Lucyballet1994 CMLAFLAMME Freddie didn't try to fix his teeth because he thought it was one of the reasons he had that amazing voice of his.
^the hell? a strong moral stand against straight teeth? hahaha what the comment said was British people don't put the same focus on straight teeth as Americans and it isn't seen as important for living a decent life. and dying your hair is the same as exercising somehow? hahaha what the hell
His back molars pushed all his teeth forward. If he did get his teeth fixed, it would change his voice.
The reason he never fixed his teeth, he thought it would affect his voice
It wouldn't affect his voice
There's nothing not likeable about him. He's so smart and charismatic. Just hypnotizing. You wanna listen to him forever. ❤❤

He was a beautiful and talented man
The part Remi really didn’t get in the movie was Freddie’s masculinity. I know that may seem like a weird way to describe Freddie, because in many ways he was effeminate but Freddie was very masculine as well. The way he carried himself, his strong jaw and physique and his confidence.
I cant believe this guy was Indian
Agreed, and physically, rami didn’t have the fullness and mass for 80s Freddie. Small nitpick though.
Woah, his spoken voice is NOT what I expected it to be.
***** yeah, his voice is really different when he speaks than when he sings.
***** His speaking voice and accent is due to his education in India under the British system and his family's living in England. A very well spoken, lucid man. A sad loss all those years ago.
***** thats because he sings in his "falsetto" voice
Ashley Johansson not always... hes mastered both and if you listen to more than bohemian then you could hear it.

He's utterly captivating isn't he? That androgynous face, those hawkish eyes, the iconic moustache...his speech is fascinating too, he's so well spoken and puts that strange whistling sound on his S's, his personality comes across with so much flavour, it's little wonder he was able, and continues to influence so many other artists long after his passing. A true musical legend x

+Jazmyn Simmons a very slight one. He says lots of words interestingly, for instance "featah" instead of "theater" if you listen to him carefully
yeah, part of it comes from that insanely fabulous overbite. He speaks like Kaa in The Jungle Book.
Freddie is that kind of person that will forever never get old ! Faith turned him into an icon ! Legend keeps moving on !
An intricate human being, that noone understood. These interviews remind me of Janis Joplin. Meant for the stage, meant for the music, but really uneasy on the interviews. One of a kind human beings that we still worship all these years later. Something that has always struck me about all these interviews of people like this - noone ever put the camera down, and just asked - how are you?
Rest in peace, Freddie. Thank you so much for sharing yourself with us.
Wow, perfectly said! ❤️
How would you know if they did or didn't put the camera down? 🤔 😀
I disagree. People can understand these people and musicians like this still live present day. The difference is they avoid interviews. This was a different time period when music stars were bigger in fame than the ones present day and the only way their fans got a sense of who they are as a person was from interviews whereas now artists connect with their fans through social media to give them a sense of who they are personally. Back then record labels invested more money in their music stars and part of the contracts were these forced interviews (aka promotion) and touring.
