If they add a functional parking lot, trains/buses that transport ppl from out of the park instead of just a spawn like in planet coaster 1, it would be so fire
There's a million things I want but here's my top 10 and my 5 further down the list wants: 10 Must-Haves - Roller coaster car designer: I’d like a more detailed designer for ride vehicles so I can very specifically tailor them to my branding desires. I.E. making an Intamin Blitz that can theme the train as an animal or a boat. - Switch tracks, elevator tracks, drop tracks, tilt tracks, turntables, and reverse launches for coaster tracks - Actually being dark inside buildings without light bleeding through - Waterparks / Better water - Better coaster track smoothing - Dine-in restaurants and shopping like Planet Zoo - Building mega parks less restricted / building multiple parks on a map and running a resort - In-game fonts with great diversity, maybe even parts to build coaster logos or a logo designer itself. - Shrinking and growing items. - Queue development: adding pre-shows, adding multiple queues for multiple loading stations a la space mountain, etc… 5 Wants - Functional backstage areas/pathing/maintenance - In-game park map generator or builder, which then can be placed on paths for guests - More map diversity & terrain painting options - Parking lots/roads with ai traffic - More transportation options, including public transport ferries for island parks or city-style trains for park entrances.
I’m a big fan of making dark rides, so 2 wishlist items for that would be having realistic darkness inside of buildings. And then, having customizable animatronics would be so cool. Something like the way you can customize an avatar, with hair, face shape, outfits, accessories. That would open up so many possibilities!
Two things I’d like to see in Planet Coaster 2 is playable arcade and sideshow games you can place down in your park. Along with avatar characters that you can use to walk around your theme park or visit other people’s parks.
11. Single rider lanes in addition to fast pass. 12. Build over time. So u „blueprint“ the coaster and it Takes a couple ingame month to be build. 13. A line tool for bushes and trees and mayve fences.
I wish that they add switch tracks, multiple station mode for seperate loading and unloading and better underground placement for tracks. In RCT3 there was a lot of crazy stuff you could do I was missing in PlanCo. :)
My list (made before watching in order to not be influenced): Waterparks and a better water tool. "Coastal" and "Island" map types. Dynamic weather system, and Regions similar to Planet Zoo which influence weather. A complete rework of shops, restaurants, toilets so that there's more logic to it. Food courts and dining areas should be possible. Toilet placement should matter. Add improved versions of the custom restaurants and souvenir shops added to Planet Zoo. Add games stalls, Ride Photos, Meet-and-greet, Lockers. Misters, shade, and other cooling mechanics for hot parks. More gameplay mechanics. Better park management. I don't like the "charge $30 for a coaster and $18 for a burger and you're rich forever" idea. Money should come from entrance fee, sales, and advertising. Better guest AI so that they have preferences, stop for lunch, favor coasters, better/more noticeable differentiation between family/teen/Adult parks. Also influenced by region. Revamp/completely replace the scripting system for fireworks and ride operations. It should't require a million IF statements for a lamp that changes colours. Add Planco versions of the IRL coaster and ride manufacturers. Add more realism to the coasters so that some types require special considerations with the station buildings etc. I.E. side-loading stations. Add switch and drop-tracks. Fix Block zones. Improve the supports AI so that custom supporting is never required. Add an in-game guide to help with designing coasters. I hate it when my design is just 0.01 away from meeting a requirement, I make adjustments, and then all the stats get worse for no reason. A "paint" tool that places random region-specific trees, shrubs, and overgrowth. Fix the performance so that Silvarret can actually build a complete park. A "select all hidden objects" selector type that highlights objects that cannot be seen and therefor can be deleted without consequence. A proper Plaza Builder, i.e trace outline with the barriers tool from Zoo, then a paint tool fills the outline and the entire area becomes traversable path that buildings and path pieces can connect to. Terrain deformation, water, and pathing can be saved in blueprints. Add a "render Coaster POV" which renders and exports the fixed coaster POV views to an mp4 video file in 4k60. Every single theme should have blueprints for all the available buildings. New players do not touch the custom build tools, ever. Streamers who aren't dedicated to Planet games will usually do at most one or two streams instead of getting into it. It should be possible the PLAY the game and have fun without "custom everything" like its a diorama.
- Parking lots would be cool. The cars or buses wouldn't even have to actually drive. If they just spawned in out of nowhere and guests exited them and went to the park entrance from there, that would be very cool already. - What you described for custom cars but with animatronics. - Staff in the station which checks the constrains. - Single light bulbs, the ones which are often used for fair ground rides. And a convenient editor to animate a large array of them.
UNPOPULAR OPINION: Foliage Brush. I spend WAY. TO. MUCH. TIME. on Foliage than I want to, and it's actually a good reason why I don't play the first game too often. Frontier has the foliage brush from JWE2, just implement the same system and I'm chill.
also we have a Dinosaur named Gulpy in the game, WHY IS HE THE ONLY ONE?? DINOSAURS ARE COOL, MAKE IT A THEME!! DINOSAUR ANIMATRONICS, RIDES, SHOPS, EVERYTHING!!!
They need to make us be able to create better boomerangs, swinglaunches, transfertracks and so on to match the current and future coaster industry. Upside down launches etc as well.
My five far off ideas 5. Having animals in the game. Like planet zoo so we could create Disney's Animal Kingdom. 4.Working vehicle for staff like golf carts. 3. Better Coaster and Dark Ride Management. 2. Better Stations for Dark Rides and Coaster where they are more configurable or two different pick up and drop off places 1. Realistic Entrances. Like Parking Lots, Bus, Trams, ect.
I'd really like some serious gameplay influenced by creative design. Would be cool to have an off season mode where you prep your park and new attraction for opening. Once opened your park runs for a cycle against another park ( one of your own, one of your friends or unseen AI ) introducing competition to game play. Planet Coaster 2/Coaster Wars lol. Whatever. Strategy would be really inspiring. Working within a budget. You might get a "report card" with awards and criticism -- "you have won best new coaster", "most attended park", "You missed 20% of potential guests due to lack of parking/shade/drinking water/que compacity, dark rides, kiddy rides, litter . . . If it's a hot season the park with a new water ride might win, or loose if it's rainy. You could manually run aspects of your park while in simulation but can't actually do construction until the off season. I'd play it lol.
I love these ideas but I also want a regular mode because for me it’s hard to get into zoo because it feels like a whole process with all the management stuff
Coming from someone who primarily plays RCT3 because it has a *much* lower time commitment, here's what could hook and sustain me. (Near) Must Haves: 1. Well optimized. I get there's realistic limits, but if someone on a mid-tier laptop can play through the scenarios without overheating or huge dips, that would be a huge feather in their cap. 2. Better paths. Ideally, this would mean painting the terrain you want people to walk through. If this can't work, at least Bump up the maximum width and remove some jank with slopes and intersections. Also, native thin paths for exits. 3. Easier building. I get the jump to unrestricted 3D inherently increases the skill ceiling, but at present, it feels really difficult to make a build that doesn't look bland or boxy without ramping up piece counts and microtinkering. This might just be a me problem, but rescaling heights to 3m and adding tools to build at 30 and 45 degree angles from an existing grid would go a long way. 4. Adapt out of bounds to match park edge. Because shear faces when you want to terraform are mighty annoying. If this isn't doable for sone reason, a toggle not to render the outside a la RCT1 might be a compromise. 5. More maps / map generation. Ideally taking after Minecraft or Open TTD, let us set a biome, which edges are land/water, how rugged the terrain is, and how large the map is. Be sure to allow superflat for blueprint sandboxes, indoor parks, or people who don't want to mess with it. 6. Settings to ignore or trivialize management, at least in sandbox play. I want management to be robust for the people who enjoy it, but it shouldn't be necessary to enjoy the game either. Would be higher, but PlanCo 1 wasn't too bad here, just a few too many notifications. Nice to Haves: 7. More coaster sequencing. Switch tracks, native transfer tables, load/unload stations are the big three. Better indication of what counts towards excitement ratings would be a nice bonus. 8. Different colored trains on the same ride. I can accept all tge ride vehicles being generic if customizing their shape would be performance hell, but something as simple as a red train and a blue train can add a lot of charm. 9. Rapids retool. I know it's very hard to make them match irl unless they make rules specific to this ride. Deeper and wider track that can snap to terrain? I could see this being surprisingly difficult, so if it's too much work for one ride, just a circular station would be pretty great. 10. Scalable objects. ModNation Racers for PS3 had this, so I'm pretty sure it'd be doable, but even just art pieces would be so useful. 11. Toggleable microadjustment tool to snap pieces that are barely off or slightly offset to prevent Z-fighting. If doable, this would be universally loved. 12. Canvas shade. Very specific, but something thinner than art shapes for generic Cedar Fair esque cattlepenning. 13. More recolorables. Paths in particular would be nice. 14. Auto-generating tunnels on your ride, like NL2 has. Would be great QOL and could still make your own if you so desire. 15. Buildings blocking out light. If that's too difficult, maybe a dedicated piece for this purpose? 16. Carnival games, even just a few. 17. Waterparks if it isn't too much scope creep. 18. Lots of food and drink options. Niche interest for someone who normally ignores the management side, but I would love food from every continent, ability to account for diets (e.g. peanut free, halal, vegan), condiment stations, and beverage fountains. Connecting fries with entrees would be pretty neat too.
As a dark ride creator, there are sveral thungs I'd want. Obviously I wantTje inside of buildings to be dark even during the day. I want a lot of different track ride types (Instead of just the boring something moving at a set speed on a track in a forward facing direction), I want more music, sfx, and special effects. Instead of a 100 different animatronic people, I would like 1 animatronic person where we can choose the outfit, animation, and props (depending on the animation) instead of relying on all the different animatronics in game.
Man, you got me with the car editor. I made an improved replica of Bocaracá, a snake-themed Vekoma Whirwind in Parque Diversiones here in Costa Rica, and the train was a pain in the arse because it was either a Planet Coaster themed train or a plain yellow train, which was kind of a letdown.
Customizable ride signs! you could pick fonts (add more fonts) lighting/ size, add art elements, instead of using 50 pieces to make a sign. more needs for guests (make it an optional feature) Stroller rentals Smoking areas Realistic shops/ or shop carts like a ballon cart or hot dog stand. Usable midway games I also want more mascots options, every restaurant should have a mascot not just a few. All the world’s fair places, a vintage king coaster. Maybe add customizable ones as well.
Ome thing i want that alot of people havnt broight up is a dedicated guest mode that you can just load up someones park and be a guest in there park, you can spend cash, ride the rides and not have to deap with anything since you are a guest
My dream would be an animatronic designer. The dark rides are definitely lacking and would be improved a lot if we could customize the animatronics! Something like Indoorlands where you can create custom flat rides would work well for this (custom flat rides would be great too)
So a couple of my icing on the cake ideas would be proper Waterpark features including waterslides and rides. Play park for children. Stage where you could have shows and live music. More customisation of Roller Coaster supports, including temporary scaffold aesthetic supports for certain coasters.
I just really want to have water parks added. Also, I want to see weather, seasons, and temperture and have the guests and rides affected by it. So...if it's hot people want to go on water rides or go to the water park and if it's cold then it will be the opposite. If it's storming and having lightning all rides or park will be closed until the storm passes. Same goes to having a snow storm and etc. 😊
@@RudiRennkamel Exactly like Soaked, but bigger, better, and more in depth. We are definitely in dire need for a waterpark game considering that there aren't any besides RCT3 Soaked.
1. Test seats 2. Better coaster creator similar to Ultimate Coaster 2 3. More food options such as Chinese, BBQ, funnel cakes, popcorn, cinnamon rolls, pancakes/french toast/waffles, cheesesteaks, subs, etc. and generic themed restaurants instead of premade logos 4. Larger map sizes up to 1000x1000 or infinity to create a mega park with 40+ coasters, 100+ flat rides, etc. 5. Height Requirements for coasters and flat rides including minimum and maximum height (optional) instead of ages (ex. 54" to ride Werewolf, 52-78" to ride Black Falcon, 48" or 54" to ride American Arrow, 54-75/80" to ride Bakasura, etc. P.S. custom height requirements would be lit! 6. Control and operate flat rides to create your own flat ride program 7. Color your own harness and restraints for each coaster or flat ride along with coloring your train or ride vehicles.
1. Delivery Management: I agree, the "gameplay" of management just wasn't there in PC1, but I also see this as valuable in the design of things as from experience, poor designed access points for delivery management causes a lot of internal issues like supply vs. demand, crowding/blocking points for park hour deliveries, and future expansion/storage issues. 2. Area Purchase: I like this idea. I could live without it in the game, since it's always been more sandboxy and you could implement this concept without the game requiring; however, it would definitely enhance campaign scenarios, especially as a reward system or adding into financial management. Where I'm at and where I've lived, this has been an issue and I don't even think the big parks have fully grasped options to combat this issue in the best way possible (i.e. limited space could mean building upward vs. outward -- yes I know there's other issues in this option, no need to comment on it) 3. Material painter: Well since frontier refuses to develop flexicolor painter and would rather introduce those pieces as "new themes".... I don't see this being implemented as obviously as it could be used, but what a simple yet profound option! 4. Path elements: I definitely see this being applied since PZ added more options of these. I don't see it being a HUGE impact in the gameplay or design of things, but it definitely would be more quality than quantity. I'm also seeing things like Lockers, Rental Stations (wheelchairs, strollers, etc.), and arcade games as options to consider (among thousands of others). 5. Coaster Car Editor: THIS. Although I would consider the track type also a part of it's design. I find it absolutely stupid and pointless that it takes a mod that was developed basically a year AFTER full development to get this in PC1.... Seriously, if I'm going to design a coaster and get trashed by the community because it's track design isn't accurate, well, Frontier designed this game, I designed the ride. Even in real life, we're seeing those tracks/car types being challenged in "what is possible".... (i.e. inverting and launching spinning car coasters, launching wooden coasters, etc.) Overall, that's why I really hope that if Frontier is developing this game for release sooner rather than later, they have thought up these ideas and paid attention thoroughly to the forums and the mods and the creator gripes to realize what actually needs to be in the game that never was. I'm not interested in buying PC2 if it isn't more "organized" and developed with these types of things. I know others could care less, but as someone who is invested in doing this for a career, I need the tools to succeed.
I would love to have a mascot designer. Where you could chose their apparence, ,gender, outfits, behaviour, if they are humanoid or not. Think about how much more of an immersive experience your parks could be, if you could ad your character to your own themes. Together with a logo designer you could even add your own brands to the game.
N°5= weather system, it's cool but I don't really pay that much intention to the weather because I play mostly with my world in pause N°4= Multiplayer, it could be fun making parks with your friends and if they ad the visitor camera it would be super cool visiting your own park or others parks with that N°3=adding actors in your mazes/dark rides N°2=costumes for yourv employees so you can make them the theme of your coaster or flat rides N°1)=I've been thinking about that a lot before and I totally agree on your take about the personalisation of your coasters trains, like imagine being abble to put lights on your train so it glows in the night, changing the shape and put the coaster logo on it. I would love to see that but I haven't putted it in my top 10 because I think it is really unlikely (I have a last one and it's keeping DLCs from planCO1, but I think everyone wants that and it won't happen)
The number one thing on my wish list for Planet Coaster 2 would be does it exist? Can Frontier please just give us a yes or no how hard would that be if it’s a yes, you know we’re gonna be all excited and crazy if it’s a no, we’re gonna be asking why Lol great video thanks for sharing. Be safe George.
I don't want them to add that much more complexity to the game. Sure I want to have better management, but I don't want to have to worry about access points, maybe I do, maybe I don't. I don't care that much about the back stage area. I think it's a waste of time and uses too much computer resources to worry about. I don't care about parking lots. I mean I don't feel like making parking lots. I am not into parking lot simulators. I like Amusement Parks and I want to make Amusement parks. This wasn't Planet Coaster, and I really hope they don't make a second one. I hope they make Planet Amusement Park or Planet Theme Park. Planet Coaster was more about the coasters themselves. I want a game that is more about the whole park in general. That is the main reason most of the flat rides were highly themed, and not that many of them. It is the whole reason a lot of the stuff you see in amusement park wasn't in the game, because the game was more about the roller coasters.
I would love to have actual shows in the game, along with a show creation tool. Similar to the triggered events, or the fireworks tool in RCT3, but with show elements. I know there us some stuff in the studios pack, but you dont have a lot of freedom with it. I want ti create fight scenes, car routes that actually fit my stage, dialogue wuth AI voices and so on. And obviously functional seating, show buildings, and show times.
Ist der Park im Hintergrund im Workshop? Sieht sehr interessant aus (mein größter Wunsch sind immernoch Effekt schienen, switch tracks und editierbare Achterbahn Züge
Just make it better than KSP 2 and I’m already happy. I’m currently still have to wait for this trauma to undo itself again, and till than the only time I buy a game again, is after a 2 week process of researching (aka watching countless videos) of this game really, REALLY is something I like.
I'm sad to say that I am not that excited about a Planet Coaster 2. I feel like Planet Coaster 1 already scratches that itch adequately. I would much rather have Frontier focus on something new. Maybe a medieval or ancient city builder, or just anything other than another theme park game. Or even more DLC for Planet Zoo (maybe adding Extinct ice age animals).
AI is gonna be a huge part of the game now. When you see what text to audio ai can do (park music, ambience, sound effects) and what text to picture ai can do (textures, billboards etc.)... Imagine what more you can do.
If they add a functional parking lot, trains/buses that transport ppl from out of the park instead of just a spawn like in planet coaster 1, it would be so fire
oh yeah, functional entrance etc. would be nice!
I have asked for something like this for so long! Functional parking would be so cool.
This would excite me most outside of streamlined game performance.

- In-game fonts with great diversity, maybe even parts to build coaster logos or a logo designer itself.
- Shrinking and growing items.
- Queue development: adding pre-shows, adding multiple queues for multiple loading stations a la space mountain, etc…
5 Wants
- Functional backstage areas/pathing/maintenance

Man, you got me with the car editor. I made an improved replica of Bocaracá, a snake-themed Vekoma Whirwind in Parque Diversiones here in Costa Rica, and the train was a pain in the arse because it was either a Planet Coaster themed train or a plain yellow train, which was kind of a letdown.
It would be soooo nice
Customizable ride signs! you could pick fonts (add more fonts) lighting/ size, add art elements, instead of using 50 pieces to make a sign.
more needs for guests (make it an optional feature)
Stroller rentals
Smoking areas
Realistic shops/ or shop carts like a ballon cart or hot dog stand.
Usable midway games
I also want more mascots options, every restaurant should have a mascot not just a few.
Something like Indoorlands where you can create custom flat rides would work well for this (custom flat rides would be great too)
So a couple of my icing on the cake ideas would be proper
Waterpark features including waterslides and rides.
Play park for children.
Stage where you could have shows and live music.
More customisation of Roller Coaster supports, including temporary scaffold aesthetic supports for certain coasters.
I just hope for the same graphics of planet zoo😆
It must be
I just really want to have water parks added. 😊
Water parks would be cool! Just like soaked back in rct3!
@@RudiRennkamel Exactly like Soaked, but bigger, better, and more in depth. We are definitely in dire need for a waterpark game considering that there aren't any besides RCT3 Soaked.
1. Test seats
2. Better coaster creator similar to Ultimate Coaster 2
3. More food options such as Chinese, BBQ, funnel cakes, popcorn, cinnamon rolls, pancakes/french toast/waffles, cheesesteaks, subs, etc. and generic themed restaurants instead of premade logos
6. Control and operate flat rides to create your own flat ride program
Where I'm at and where I've lived, this has been an issue and I don't even think the big parks have fully grasped options to combat this issue in the best way possible (i.e. limited space could mean building upward vs. outward -- yes I know there's other issues in this option, no need to comment on it)
(i.e. inverting and launching spinning car coasters, launching wooden coasters, etc.)
Overall, that's why I really hope that if Frontier is developing this game for release sooner rather than later, they have thought up these ideas and paid attention thoroughly to the forums and the mods and the creator gripes to realize what actually needs to be in the game that never was. I'm not interested in buying PC2 if it isn't more "organized" and developed with these types of things. I know others could care less, but as someone who is invested in doing this for a career, I need the tools to succeed.
VR support and Multiplayer! Imagine going throught the park with your friends in VR
I would love to have a mascot designer. Where you could chose their apparence, ,gender, outfits, behaviour, if they are humanoid or not. Think about how much more of an immersive experience your parks could be, if you could ad your character to your own themes. Together with a logo designer you could even add your own brands to the game.
Excellent ideas. I'm hoping the game gets revealed soon. I have so many concepts and ideas for planco 2.
I can't wait any longer! I need it. Now.
N°5= weather system, it's cool but I don't really pay that much intention to the weather because I play mostly with my world in pause
N°4= Multiplayer, it could be fun making parks with your friends and if they ad the visitor camera it would be super cool visiting your own park or others parks with that
N°3=adding actors in your mazes/dark rides
N°2=costumes for yourv employees so you can make them the theme of your coaster or flat rides
N°1)=I've been thinking about that a lot before and I totally agree on your take about the personalisation of your coasters trains, like imagine being abble to put lights on your train so it glows in the night, changing the shape and put the coaster logo on it. I would love to see that but I haven't putted it in my top 10 because I think it is really unlikely
(I have a last one and it's keeping DLCs from planCO1, but I think everyone wants that and it won't happen)
Gosh that coaster train editor is so unlikely but also so amazing right? I also like the Animator in mazes!
Yes a Halloween Horror Nights!!!!! N°3=adding actors in your mazes/dark rides
@@7empest376 yeah, seasonal events would be great (like you could make a building "active" only on a given month)
@@RudiRennkamel that's why thoses games are so fun, there is so much possibilities and so much that can be added
Better ride breakdowns. Maybe a train gets stuck on a block zone, the lift hill breaks down, or a train stalls.
oh jup thats a cool detail that should be added!
Koali Beach ist das :)
I used to spend hours making kits and badges in pro evo as well haha. I would definitely like a coaster editor in plan Co 2
If Planco 2 greatly surpasses Planet Zoo would you switch your main content? Just curious
it depends a lot. Planet Zoo has not the same performance issues I had with planet coaster. So maybe a tendency, but not dropping zoo entirely
Another great video Rudi! Fingers still crossed!
hoofs too!
Just make it better than KSP 2 and I’m already happy.
I’m currently still have to wait for this trauma to undo itself again, and till than the only time I buy a game again, is after a 2 week process of researching (aka watching countless videos) of this game really, REALLY is something I like.
What a coincidence that at least one of your wishes came through
I 100% guarantee that as of making the video, I didn´t know anything! Its also very surprising that the imo least possible one actually came true LOL
Insert not shure meme here:.......................
Anyone here after planco 2 was announced?
This one was scary btw. I didn't know recording the video what's in, but I've hit some things hahahaha
@@RudiRennkamel yes for sure!
AI is gonna be a huge part of the game now. When you see what text to audio ai can do (park music, ambience, sound effects) and what text to picture ai can do (textures, billboards etc.)... Imagine what more you can do.
You knew. SOO EXITED
lol 8 days after posted planet coaster 2 got anmkunced
Move on folks 😂
