But I have a simple question for them: What were these two parties doing during their decades in power? The people of Kargil have long awaited essential developments like the Zojila Pass tunnel and the expansion of the Kargil airport. Yet, these projects remained stalled under their rule for over 60-70 years. Now, when real progress is being made, they mock it. Why didn’t they deliver on these crucial projects when they had the power? These parties have played with the emotions of the people of Kargil for far too long, dividing us on the basis of religion, caste, and community, all while ensuring their families and close circles benefited the most. But BJP has stopped this nepotism in Kargil, and that is the real reason for their frustration. This is the biggest blow to their politics, and now they are overreacting because they are losing the control they once had. To the people of Kargil: it’s time to see through the empty promises and divisive tactics of those who once ruled us. The future lies in development, not in old-fashioned politics of division.
