Im currently in school for computer science and wanted to ask how is the job market in Chicago when it comes to software developing are there lots of entry level positions available. Is it easy to land a job in Chicago and is the job demanding for entry level.

If more jobs offered no work and free food and just sitting around, people would totally love work more. Then again, nothing would get done. That’s why all these companies are laying people off because it’s cannibalizing and the unsustainable.
I got hired during the pandemic, and I was already living in Chicago, so it just wasn’t time for me to move to California yet due to the offices not being fully open
You’re not a software engineer. Why are you not writing code? Why are you not at a computer most of the day? This is a non job. Women in the workplace, esp in tech is about ticking boxes. This isn’t work, it’s adult daycare and making women feel they’re contributing to the workforce. Get married. Have children. This isn’t helping.
