I think I'm going to get this as my first DJI 03 quad. The mounting is nice and simple, and its so inexpensive. I might get more performance from a naked flylens 85. But I want my first 03 air unit to be fully cased and protected so I can use it in a build one day.
Having recently got into DJI I feel very spoiled with all these light weight vtx's from HDZero for small quads like this, I just wish we had more than 200mw. Don't have an 03 yet, I'd probably look into one of these or a flylens85 beefed up to 3s (Have a HDZero one running 3s, so spicy!). Good thing for a DJI noob like me to know that 2s might not be enough power. I did brown-out a vista on a 5" 4s, but that was the FC and has since been replaced. Would love to see DJI make a whoop kit and HDZero to make more than 200mw's, Walksnail, doin just fine there (So many options). Thanks for the vid, amazing flight, whish I could do half that stuff. Cheers!
Just put triblades on my original 3s pavo20 and i will say they should of done tri blades from the factory. Almost got the 2.2 but then realized they were slightly too big and would need a new frame to fit them so i got the 2in tri and it flues so much better!
Awesome flying Moe. Sounded like you were really maxing out the throttle pulling out of those split-s maneuvers, but then I saw in the OSD that you were only hitting around 50%, which now makes me think that either the quad/props are pretty noisy!
These little things definitely get loud - I will say this configuration is a bit quieter than the old 20 but I think that’s just because of the tri blades versus the Bi blade
Incredible video, just bought one! Random question man, a GPS without compass, will not have an arrow pointing at where home is, right? But it will be able to failsafe RTH? Because Im planning on adding a goku M10 nano to the pavo20 pro :) Thanks !!
@ a 2-3g GPS won’t affect your flight time. With and without compass it still shows you an arrow I think, haven’t tested it yet since I only use my Pavo to fly indoors
Hi! For beginners, is it possible to set the camera lower than what it comes by default without having to see the propeller guards in the video frame? Also, do you get that jelly effect with the original Pavo 20?
He mentioned that in video. This one with the motors/tri blade has more power and can handle the stock antenna and get more range/better quality over the supplied "replacement" antenna the kit comes with.
@@b3owu1f not so easy man, the stock antenna is not good for vibrations and wind resistance. Of course the drone can manage the weight, but the dipoles are the correct choice for its purpose....
I wonder why everyone is missing the pavo20 pocket... Looks as if it has a stabilizer which makes it ideal for real estate? Why don't you explain about that model?... That'll be great. Thanks
as it is, with the O3 unit does it have GPS build in ? It could do some kind of return to home if the signal gets interrupted ? I would use it with the DJI fpv controller.
Is there a usb cable extension or something, to make it more user friendly? Is this a good first drone ? I want my first FPV and I want something more custom (repairable) than an Avata 2 but still user friendly.
What usb extension you mean ? Of course way cheaper to fix than the avata 2. Battery is way cheaper than the avata 2. But if you buy this one with dji 03 air unit the avata 2 has a 4k hdr video recording but the dji hasn’t . If you have any questions let me know
This quad comes with a USBC adapter to their own proprietary plug on the flight controller. As to whether or not this is a good first quad, I’m not 100% sure about that. True FPV quads are a lot more difficult to control and this being a larger multi cell quad would be more difficult to start on versus a smaller quad. my recommendation for anyone getting into flying would be to start on a Tiny Whoop unless you already and only have the DJI system
Hey thanks for the der Freestyle footage. I am all for seeing the Pavo 20 pro without prop guards! I really wonder if it does better at flight time or strong wind handling?
Looks like flat magnets still on the motors. BetaFPV seems to be making all the right moves on their 1s quads, and I like their new F4 12A v3.0, but from my experience with the Pavo Pico, these things are fragile. I would rather BetaFPV charge another $20 and include better plastic material, and more efficient motors.
I am biased as I really enjoy the pico but I think it NEEDS to be installed with a naked 03 and camera. The lesser weight really brings the durability up and i think the motors better fit that lower weight. I would love to see a pico pro with better mounting along the lines of the 20 series
I believe the original Pavo20 (and probably the Pro now) does have better plastic than the Pico. The prop guards are not nearly as fragile as what's on the Pico. Looks like injection molded Nylon now. Mine actually took a couple of hard dives into concrete and surprisingly, still in one piece.

I just made my breakfast and now I have a good video to watch!

Gemfan 2023 in props out configuration is the way to go on the original Pavo20. This and naked O3.
@@c0t1d0s0 mines still props in but flies nice, im planning to cut the ducts off one day soon
Nice review and flying Moe! 👍
Thanks MCLOGO !

Which one do you enjoy flying "hard", flylens85 or the pavo20 pro? Any specific reasons? Thanks for your thoughts, and enjoy all your content.

How did it work out? I haven't even installed the LED strip on mine yet. I can't imagine a GPS on it, it doesn't seem worth the loss of flight time

Hi Moe, I like your flow very much. Btw why choosing the original O3 antenna instead of the 2 dipole?

I think they should have made the "Pro" version 4S capable.
Looks good 👍👌
Can i use the vro3 fpv goggles and literadio 3 controller for this drone made by betafpv

Flylens85 seems top notch
Tough call TBH - I’d have to fly them both back to back as it’s been a while. They are very close, though

If it gets any larger, i should get avata 2 😂
Avata can't freestyle 😅
It's the same board changes the frame and the engines, it's A... fucking Betafpv scam, Pavo20 and Pavo20 Pro
