It’s cool how when he was trying to say block and accidentally said black, he had to reassure himself how that was a color and not what he was trying to say
It's almost like he knew someone was watching and was like "I KNOW black is a color, so don't even correct me. I got this, I'm just practicing for fun!"
Edit: spelling
U guys just made that up lol
@@manifestoh nuh uh

“Black, this is color” was so cute
Yeah, like he realized he said a color instead of a shape
The parrot is racist! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤦♂️
@@HustleWorldEnt1why?

@HustleWorldEnt1. do not joke anymore!

😂😂😂
"i'm like a chain saw like a chain saw"
I like how he wants _fresh_ water because once before he asked you for _water_ and you brought him some stale crap. Lmao
shit, that's hilarious
Stale water?
This parrot snobby asf 💀
@@cypher2498 Pour some water in a glass and let it sit for a few hours, when you drink it you'll understand what stale water is
Stale water is a thing. Sometimes it causes stomach pain
Tap water... 😅
A pet that can actually tell you what it needs is every pet owners dream
And every veterinarian's. Lol
i can tell what my dragon wants by watching her body language. she has actually learned how to show me what she wants or needs.
Lmao actually true
@@helema23Dragon? It's like, kamodo dragon? Nice!
You don't, trust me, you don't. If my shih/pom goes to door and whines, he wants outside. He ate all his food or drank all his water, he goes there and whines. He wants treats, he goes over to the counter and whines. If i ask him "what?", he will look at me, look over at the whatever he wants, look back at me, look back at it rapidly to confirm he wants something. Or if I ask him "outside/food/water/treat/walk/poop/potty/etc", he will do puffs that sound like sneezing to confirm. He became a menace and now torments me when he gets bored 😂
That "BAWK AWK AWK". 🤣 It's like he's doing vocal warmups before a show.
To me it sounded more like he had something lodged his throat and was trying to spit it out. XD
RADIO SHACK ACK ACK ACK
BACH
Fck? 😂
I interpreted it as him seeing all the different shapes and getting confused.
"Bawk BAWK Aw ck AW CK bluh" and "Ba- Black, this is color" got me dying
Same
Bruh, him correcting himself that black was a color and not a block. And him sounding out the different parts of the word block. Amazing!!
I love how he even trains himself and corrected himself
😂😂😂 the whole time I was in agreement until I actually read my thoughts from you... and now I'm not so sure if it's cool or not! What if "THE BIRDS" was remade and they had them teamed up with AI robots? 😮😮😮 (I THOUGHT OF IT FIRST SO IF YOU SEE IT I'LL PAY YOU TO TELL ME! 😂😂😂)
It’s recalling a conversation in which it was trained I would imagine

he sounded like Herbert from family guy… scary.
It's so amazing how he asks himself a question and answers it. I kinda get the impression that he just enjoys answering questions, and has learned how to do it himself to get the same happiness that he does when answering you.
Late sorry but Parrots are smart enough to understand delayed reward/gratitude. Dogs do to a degree but it’s more active enjoyment of work, I’d assume the parrot is closer to humans and is enjoying practicing with the knowledge it will bring him treats and praise later.
Dudes studying cause he wants that high pistachio career.
Birds are so incredibly intelligent. Especially parrots. I just had an argument with a bird... And she won. 😂
@@user-yw6xg5ne6k😂😂😂
It would be cute to put a big microphone by Apollo and tell him to practice his words in the mic...
When he accidentally said “black” instead of “block” and proceeded to say how it was a colour and immediately squawked afterwards accurately describes the way my brain functions
It is _so cool_ that he can verbally ask for things he wants. An animal actually speaking English to communicate wants and needs is utterly stunning. We live in such a freaking cool world, man.
exactly
Not just communicating, but referring to himself in the first person. Self identification is a key factor in judging intelligence.
@V4HlDid imagine you may be able to train them to associate some words and terms with wants, objects and feelimgs
@@WCRyderWell isn't that what the bird is doing?
@HarpOfChaos yep, but also in some other videos, you can see him just say random things in his cage, so I guess it's a mix of both random things and associated things
"bock AWCK BAWCK bluh"
I felt that in so many levels 💀
"black...this is the color"
Black... This is a colour

Is no one gonna talk about the "hey buddies" at the end, that was so cute...
It's wild how much joy this little feathered guy gives me
Apollo trying figure out what the toy is. "Bock" "black" "this is colors" his deduction skills are amazing
Or he says "This is color" as a reaction to when he himself accidentally said black, trying to say block.
Imagine in 50 years this parrot is reciting books you read.
I would absolutely use apollo audible ❤
Sadly it lives like 10 years 😭
they live up to 60 years in captivity, what are you talking about bub
@@catboy2649 They live 60-70 years wtf are you talking about? Dalton's _grandchildren_ will inherit Apollo.
@@catboy2649 No, parrots can live like 70 years xD
The fact that you can ask him what he wants and he will answer in a full sentence. So smart!
This bird is one of the few I’ve seen that actually seem like they genuinely know what the words their saying mean. Such a smart and cute bird ❤
the last voice has me crying
Me too 😂
I can't believe it's really him saying that!! 🤯 I looked in the description to see if they would say the last one was a joke, but nope! 🤣 that voice!
Right? Hey buddies 😍😍😍
It sounded like Herbert from family guy
@@AlyiasPerez righttt😂😭😭like he want to seduce a boy: „hey buddy, wanna come over ?“
Him saying “wanna step up” and stretching out his little feet was the cutest thing 🥰
He sounded just like him
Him trying to say block was so cute. Like he knew what he wanted to say but it wouldn't come out
"you wanna step up?" Sounds like he's about to kick someone's ass
that bird deserves that water ofc
The fact that he recognized that he accidentally said a color while trying to say block has completely dispelled any doubt I had about Apollo. I thought his owner was a master of both bird training and storyboarding, but there is no storytelling here, this bird is genuinely as smart as a 2nd grader.
Parrots live *a long time*, I am excited to see how far he can go over the next few decades!
God I hope he gets a Ted talk
me too. He's just a really smart bird, although most parrots are really smart, Appollo is extra.
He is not as smart as a second grader.
Bunnys the one with the master storyteller owner. Apollo’s legit
@@theirryhenryownsyou're right, parrots are as smart as 5 year olds tho
I love him trying to sound it out and figure out the word for Block, and then realizing he messed it up.
I love the sight and sound of Apollo the Wonderbird drinking water
Adorable
Hes literally like a 2 year old human
He's keeping pace, then
Man Apollo is smarter then the average 3yo
@@elarsongaming8222Because he can speak? We don't see anything intelligent here - just recognizing simple voice commands.
@@darkprelate Sheesh, we get that you're insecure about your intelligence, but you gotta downplay a bird's achievements? I'd call you a bird brain but it'd be a compliment. Literally.

This bird really practices how he says things changing his tone. I find it rare to see birds doing that to the extent he does. He is a very smart boy ❤
why did "i want fresh water" sound so like, very "erm actually-fied" 😂

I have an African Grey and I am working with her on her communication, identification, and awareness. I love watching your videos. I am so thankful that I brought her into my and my family's life... She is awesome to have and love ❤️
gorgeous feathers, a very healthy parrot.
I love how he gently reaches out his foot to "step up"❤
Apollo is so cute when he asks to step up and puts out his claw. I melt every time.
i LOVE how you interact with him, teach him, he must be such a happy bird to have someone treat him intelligently like this. he has an awesome personality and tolerates your repeated questions so well :D you make it seem like it would be so much fun to have a bird like this!
There are down sides as with h anything in life. In fairness, more to the bird than anyone, educating yourself to their needs prior to acquiring them is necessary bc they are truly a life long commitment & financial responsibility. They are very possessive & demanding once they bond with you....
The gentle whisper voice! Omg he is too good.
I like how he tried to say block and failed but was persistent
I find it so impressive that Apollo (and other smart birds) aren't simply repeating things because they will get treats. They are able to actively use their words to get what they want, like water, and to be picked up. It shows that they, to some extent, truly understand the words and how to use them.
0:52 i love it when he says "good" and "hey wan step up"
So precious. Its amazing how intelligent they are.
Clearing his throat to change the octave to say block is life right now 😊😂😂😂
I love the videos where its just him babbling random stuff to himself
“AW CK… bluh…” was fricking adorable
I love how he said buddy’s! Super cute!
Apollo's really sweet when he's not answering for exams 😂😂😂
The conviction with which he yells “THATS A BELL” 🥰
I love how intelligent African Grey's are.
I am continuing to be amazed by the intelligence of birds
“Hey buddies” ❤
When he went "Bluh" i absolutely lost it
Apollo you’re amazing I watch you every day buddy and I speak for us all when I say we love you
gentle apollo voice at the end caught me off guard, i instantly melted hes adorable
The way he says “Wanna step up” and lifts up his tiny foot is so cute! 🥰 ❤
When I watch all these parrot videos, sometimes I feel sad that they're not flying free like they're meant to, but then I realize that the birds don't seem unhappy, and Apollo in particular, seems genuinely happy to be learning and bonded to his humans. I just can't see how that could be bad.
I love how smart they are and I think they’re so adorable.
He sounded like a real person in the first and in the second clip.
love how politely he asks to be held. putting the little foot up "wanna step up??" god bless
Is no one gonna say how cute he said
“Hi buddy’s”
His little tung wen you was drinking fresh water😍
WE LOVE YOU APPALLO
I love how he mimicks both Dalton and Tori so well!!!
I love that he speaks in full sentences
he seemed frustrated that he couldn't get block right. crazy how smart they are.
Its amazing. This bird its not only a mimic (as they usually are) i believe, he actually has started to understand the concepts of the sounds.
No I think all animals can associate sounds with things and concepts.
They just don't have the tools, "vocal chords" for example, to make "human sounds".
Neither does this bird, it makes similar sounds but they are produced very differently.
Parrots have the intelligence and emotional maturity of a 2-5-year-old-child. They don't just mimic.
@@pamelaj.betz-baron2420 this! You already know this but anyone else interested in what grey parrots are capable of should look up Alex the Grey Parrot. He even understood the value of numbers .
African greys dont just mimic... they have cognitive capabilties.
@@user-gh9cs9xu8fthe difference is having cognitive function. Which most animals do not have, and as far as i know, among parrots, greys and ecclectus are the only ones that have this type of intelligence.
Amazing that he understood that he told black instead of block and that it is color 👀
Watching Apollo's progress over such a short amount of time is absolutely incredible. He's gone from recognising objects to what those objects are made of and now he's not only learning how actions are referred to but how to request those actions. Understanding that saying "want fresh water" will get him fresh water or "want to step up" will have a hand to step up on presented to him are such complex thought processes.
Dude's gonna be saying "father I would like some strawberries in a bowl and a glass of water please" in no time.
What a distinguished gentleman he is!!😂
I have an African gray that’s going to be 27 years old this month! She’s so cool. I’ve had her since she was three months old.
‘Black’, the was he sounded it out first, as a new word, that was so very impressive!!!
Apollo is practicing trying to say block correctly. Love this bird!!!
He's freaking awesome..... what a smart boy....
That "hey buddies" is so sweet. Us people on the other side of the camera are his buddies 😊
I love how our little Apolo is getting smarter and smarter everytime I saw him!
I love how he experiments with what he can say. It’s like playing something new on an instrument
apollos voice is just so iconic
What a intelligent bird with great personality .
HES SO CUTE I CANT- 🥺🥺🥺
So smart, made the connection of similarity between block and black.
Awwwpollo…! 💓.
Aside from his impressive language learning,
there is something comforting about the weighty step of your birb onto the finger. The scaly foot. The gentle claw. The weightiness and size. The feathery friend that trusts. It’s just dear.
Normally I hate and am terrified of flying stuff but this bird is the cutest bird of all time and I wanna hold him
😝
Him trying to sound out block was the most relatable thing I’ve seen animals do
What an adorable spoiled little fluffer ❤ love him so much
Holy, that's smart and ive watched a bunch of these. When he says black when he was looking for block and then said, "this is a colour".
I love how he asks "what's this" he actually enjoys learning and earning a snack.❤
Bro knows what he wants. Amazing
Apollo seems like a really nice guy.
Him requesting on his own that he wants to step up is just so cute to me idk why
He is the sweetest.
he’s got such a big proud smile on his face what a precious lil guy
What. A. Smart. Bird. Wish I had a bird like that ❤. Wowing!! Mr. A.pollo. Handsome
