To my knowledge, you can't soul trap a dragon; being that you are the Dragonborn, you already absorb the soul, but that soul goes towards dragon shouts
Thank you for doing your video. I understood how to take a soul but I did not understand how to FILL a soul gem. I thought I had to go and do something with it. I didn't know I just needed to keep taking souls in till the gem is full. NO one has explained that in their video and I watched quit a bit videos. So thank you! 😄

I’m using a war axe with the soul trap enchantment on it, so I skipped learning the spell - there’s a lot of enchanted weapons with various effects and basically it’s one more way to fill a soul gem for anyone new. you had Soul Trap when you first encountered the wolf, then you went to your sword to kill it. did you have to use Soul Trap first to "tag" the wolf, then kill it with a sword?
Billion Exotic thanks to you i find myself jumping between eorlunds chest and the one in dawnstart so now i have alot of dragon bones and scales becuse i keep getting attacked by dragons and im also working on maxing my smithing but none of the merchants seem to sell quicksilver ore or ingots do you know where i can get it?
jonte143 I'm glad I can help you! Your best bet to raise smiting is to take iron ore, iron ingots, and leather stripe from euroland's chest and craft iron daggers. Then you can enchant them and sell them for big money.
jonte143 oh okay. I think your best bet is to raise your smiting higher and unlock a stronger smithing skill. I have orcish right now. Elven stuff is harder to come by.
I think the best is the Grand Soul Gem if you exclude the Black Soul Gem. It's the highest tier. Petty, Lesser, Common, Greater, Grand, Black which can trap the souls of humans.

I think you're right. Haha. I've never tried to soul trap a dragon. Perhaps a troll would be a bigger soul.
Basically the dragonborn is the soul gem if you think about it

Mario Alamia Yup. you have to use the soul trap first and then kill them before the trap wears off.
