Lovely to see those three Fulham heroes from way back. Tosh, what a left foot he had and then one day he hit a 20 yarder against Blackburn with his right foot. The crowd couldn't believe it! Fred was an energetic midfielder and everyone loved George with his irresistible elbows! But Johnny was really the golden boy so glad I saw a lot of him.
I was fortunate to grow up watching Johnny Haynes, George, Tosh and subsequently Fred play. I then captained the Youth team with John Dempsey, Les Barrett and others. Johnny Haynes was on a par with Pele and all the greats. But he was a unique player in that he rarely allowed himself to be tackled and could spray passes without looking up or signally what he was going to do. A true genius that will always be in the DNA of Fulham FC. Tosh's humour and love of life hasn't changed.
Brilliant, made my day watching that. I started going to The Cottage at the end of both Tosh and Johnnys careers but remember them both well and the quality of there football. Lovely to hear George and Fred's banter, they made my childhood those guys.
Been going to the cottage since 53/54 season season ticket holder in H7 good times and bad the golden years for me was 58 it was fun in those and this season as been great memories to many to mention but toshes hat trick against Newcastle in F A cup though we lost 5-4 our semi final replay in 75 and Dempsey goal v Juventus stand out
Jonny Haynes great player...Stingy giving out the autograph...Dad said he when he asked Haynes for a signature..He was quite rude to him ...Back in late 50's ...Maybe he was having a bad day
I lived 2 streets away from the cottage and was regularly outside asking for autographs and I agree he was difficult and always in a hurry. Still a hero.
I met him a few times. First time was at a SO at Fulham Town Hall. I was schocked, amazed, stunned, to see him smoking and drinking. In my innocence, I thought sportsman were HEALTHY. Hahahahaha. I was only 17 at the time. He was a really great bloke. Stopped and chatted to everybody.

George Cohen is one of the few men who could say I WON THE WORLD CUP.
I doubt if any ENGLISHMAN will ever be able to say that again.
Brilliant
You hear a lot about the best hypothetical all-time England sides and not enough of them include Johnny Haynes. He was world class no doubt.
George Cohen often gets forgotten about a true england great
I have often heard johnny giles say what a great player Johnny Haynes was
