Mine as well My list from favorite to least favorite Jurassic movies: Jurassic Park Jurassic World The Lost World: Jurassic Park Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom Jurassic Park 3
@moon dawg Being memorable does not make a movie automatically better than a forgettable movie. The Lost World is memorable to me because it had some ridiculous scenes, like a Tyrannosaurus Rex abandoning its offspring in order to pursue humans who are already running away. Watching a not-so-memorable movie again can be a better experience than watching a memorable one.
And he had that awesome 500 nitro Express I've told people he could kill a dinosaur with that double rifle but many people think it's a dumb 12 gauge double barrel
It's no JP1 but Lost World has: 1)The trailer dangling over the cliff scene. 2)The T-Rex rampaging through San Diego. 3)Jeff Goldblum. JP3: 1) i always thought Tea Leoni was a major babe. I gotta go with Lost World.
I think they both have their Merits... The Lost World is awesome IMO, it has a cool King Kong feel to it and the Cast and Direction are stellar... JP3 is Lean and Mean, the Perfect Saturday Morning/Night Movie, gets straight to the point.... Also, both have Dinosaurs, A+
I feel like Tony is almost playing a bit where he has to pretend to be the guy that liked JPIII. Lost World, for all of its faults, was still a coherent and entertaining ride. JPIII was complete garbage all the way through.
6:30 the spinosaurus is no way as "strong" as the actual spinosaurus that scientists have discovered the movie version was a badass, the actual one was just super croc with a sick fin that mostly "dieted on river biome creatures", and could no way challenge a rex. I think, 🤔
Lost World had some of the best moments and concepts of the whole series. The T-Rex hunter, A kid getting eaten by Compys, The RV sequence and the awesome shot of raptors hunting through the tall grass. It also has the terrible gym scene though...
I have to say, this was easily one of the most entertaining Rental Reviews videos ever, and that's saying something since they've all been extremely entertaining! I personally enjoyed both movies for what they were, but if I had to choose one over the other, I have to choose Jurassic Park 2. Sorry Tony. I hope that Nedry Pie wasn't too bad.
@@yittmashups That's actually what more recent studies have shown. The feathers wouldn't have been as likely to become fossils, but a very small number of them did. But on top of that, a few of them have the prerequisites to feathers such as Tianyulong which has quills which feathers are an ancestor of (they needed the stem in the center to splinter off of). If you look at the fossils yourself, it's kinda hard to tell on anything other than the small creatures that had large fully formed feathers already as they leave a shadowy impression.
I like JP3. Its my favorite of the sequels. I cant remember a thing about Lost World besides the two t rexes attacking the station and the gymnastic kick scene
I love all the Jurassic Park/World movies BUT if you want to pick apart movies JP3 has nothing to do with anything in the books. The second book is called Lost World and the second movie is called Lost World and has quite a bit parallel to the book.
Dude wtf Kieran lol. Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's Lost World was a pretty good show actually. It doesn't have zip to do with Jurassic Park obviously but it was certainly better than a lot of other fantasy shows of the 90s. Like in the top 10 at least. More people need to check it out. Lord John Roxton was a based main character also.
Holy shit you guys really captured discussions of the films over forums and twitter haha. I gotta say I side with Tony on this one. Kieran dissed Dr. Grant, that ain’t ok!
Honestly, I love all of the Jurassic movies. It is THAT franchise for me. It is the franchise that I have seen absolutely each and every entry of the series in the theaters.
3 has actually grown on me. I've come to appreciate it for its shock value, style, and return to its "slasher," roots. Resurrection is still an utter disappointment. Suoer cheesy, felt like it was tacked on to the series, and had such good potential to be "Aliens 2." Fuck that movie man.
WHY HAS NO ONE MENTIONED EDDY CARR'S DEATH? Scariest shit in the world for a ten year old. In the book was cool as well where he was a young guy who fell off the high-hide and eaten by raptors.
I only remembered Cooper because of Nash's "Cooper is a professional, he can handle himself" just before Coop' runs in front of the plane and gets Spino'd. As a French kid I thought the names of that trio were pretty cool.
I just... have never understood how someone could dislike The Lost World. 3, maybe. But IMO the only thing Lost World did wrong was not being as good as Jurassic Park.
While the ending of JPIII was admittedly pretty weak my real problem with it was that as soon as the group gets back together the kid was now just a kid. He spent _weeks_ surviving on his own. He knew the terrain and all his expertise was wasted as soon as he was with his parents again. He should have been nominally in charge and we could have had a baddass kid protagonist. Other than that I think the movie was fine.

The lost world jurassic park is one of my favorite movie in the jurassic park trilogy actually.
Same.
you don’t watch many movies
Mine as well
My list from favorite to least favorite Jurassic movies:
Jurassic Park
Jurassic World
The Lost World: Jurassic Park
Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom
Jurassic Park 3
I laughed harder at this than any other rental review.
The Lost World is infinitely better. This isn't even a contest 😂
I fully agree and concur good sir !
moon dawg j3 is better
The Lost World had goddamn Pete Postlethwaite, therefor it automatically wins.
And he had that awesome 500 nitro Express I've told people he could kill a dinosaur with that double rifle but many people think it's a dumb 12 gauge double barrel
@@gameboypunk660 That rifle would be worth a fortune now a days.
It's no JP1 but Lost World has: 1)The trailer dangling over the cliff scene. 2)The T-Rex rampaging through San Diego. 3)Jeff Goldblum.
JP3: 1) i always thought Tea Leoni was a major babe.
I gotta go with Lost World.
the503CreepOut what’s your thoughts on the spinosaurus?
@@Dill_Pickle1997 Spinosaurus? More like: Vagina-saurus!
But the Allen dream sequence.
Also a ton of different dinosaurs other than just a spinosaurus
There's nothing more memorable than people shuffling through 10KG of Dinossaur shit to find a phone
I love all the jp movies but i prefer the lost world...
Me too I like all of the Jurassic park movies but I like lost world the most.
The talking raptor was more believable than that "shaving cream".
I think they both have their Merits...
The Lost World is awesome IMO, it has a cool King Kong feel to it and the Cast and Direction are stellar...
JP3 is Lean and Mean, the Perfect Saturday Morning/Night Movie, gets straight to the point....
Also, both have Dinosaurs, A+
This is probably the best rental review because they’re just screaming at each other the whole time
Tony: Third movie is best
Kieran: Second movie is best
James: Original movie is best
Me: The original book is best
My friend: *Jurassic World 4* xD
Nobody asked what your friend thinks. To me he is like Yamcha xd
What are books? [grin]
No offense, but your friend needs to be euthanized...
Good lord, no. I didn't even want one of those films, let alone four!!!
Me: Second book is best
I feel like Tony is almost playing a bit where he has to pretend to be the guy that liked JPIII. Lost World, for all of its faults, was still a coherent and entertaining ride. JPIII was complete garbage all the way through.
Thank you!
Am... Actually it isnt, while I admite that the ending was a disaster, the movie itself is enjoyable, its no JP but it still has something to it
@@hectorabrambeltrandomingue3902it’s still pretty miserably written
i really liked the Ian Malcolm role. jeff goldblum is awesome. Sam Neil is great too.
I call shenanigans. That was clearly real whipped cream on that pie that Jason gave to Tony. Editing shenanigans!
Glad I wasn't the only one to notice. Disappointed tbh.
19:16 James...do you want a Dino Crisis 3 movie adaptation?
I wish they would of went that route, we got shitty terrible dino movies like Jurassic Undead, sci-fi Raptor Island.
I feel like Tony loses points just based on him saying boomer several times. Yikes.
Y I K E S
He's pretty damn irritating on all these episodes.
6:30 the spinosaurus is no way as "strong" as the actual spinosaurus that scientists have discovered the movie version was a badass, the actual one was just super croc with a sick fin that mostly "dieted on river biome creatures", and could no way challenge a rex. I think, 🤔
What about Billy and the Cloneasaurus?!!!
WHAT HERE YOU THINKING! I mean, thank you, come again.
@@The_PokeSaurus the way he nods his head when he says it. 😁
I love how James just sits back almost the whole time and listens to them bicker.
Two men arguing like kids. Just what i subscribed for.
So did i
I hate these guys. Just keep it James and Mike.
no one cares what you think
00hasista00 you care enough to comment
@@ellipsoidi likewise.
I watched Jurassic Park when i was a kid, then i started to study about dinosaurs... And now i'm a paleontologist :D
That’s awesome. Even though I’m led to believe that as far as Jurassic Park shows paleontology it’s rather far away from the real deal.
Wow‼‼
@@FMZ101 yeah, they wouldn't know till long later that half these things should have had feathers or the predicator to them.
Amen.
Don't forget the awesome PS1 game that The Lost World had!
I love all the Jurassic Park/World movies BUT if you want to pick apart movies JP3 has nothing to do with anything in the books. The second book is called Lost World and the second movie is called Lost World and has quite a bit parallel to the book.
This is the best Rental Reviews yet! I just love the back and forth arguing while James just wants to talk about the original. Great stuff.
As a member of the forgotten generation, I only have this for Tony:
"whatever..." *sound of a bubbling bong*
How old is Tony supposed to be?
You talking about gen z or “the lost generation”?
@@player3productions502 I think he's around the same age as me (I was born in 1989.)
"Jurassic Park 2 VS. 3 - What's better, The Lost World or Jurassic Park III?? - Rental Reviews (with special guest James Rolfe)"
Right?! I miss when it was just James calmly talking about a subject in informative editorials. Now its just scream fests with these other jokers.
Can you do Alien 3 and talk about the director cut as well
Lol, I kept seeing the case in the background and thought the same thing.
3 isn't that bad.. 4 is absolutely trash and I like his other movies, he was the wrong guy for the franchise.
Yea i think 4 is so bad lol
3 has actually grown on me. I've come to appreciate it for its shock value, style, and return to its "slasher," roots. Resurrection is still an utter disappointment. Suoer cheesy, felt like it was tacked on to the series, and had such good potential to be "Aliens 2." Fuck that movie man.
16:22 is the FUNNIEST! James just bursts out into laughter and says im trying XD
WHY HAS NO ONE MENTIONED EDDY CARR'S DEATH? Scariest shit in the world for a ten year old. In the book was cool as well where he was a young guy who fell off the high-hide and eaten by raptors.
I love how James just wants to talk about the original Jurassic Park whil Tony is just sounding like a mad man praising the third one.
Lost World has some of the best set pieces out of the entire series. Can't say the same for 3.
Worst* set pieces
I don't think anything in 2 tops the pterodactyle scene from 3
The birdcage pterodactyl scene and the riverboat spinosauros scene from JP3 were great.
At 16:40 Them basketball skills though! 😱😁
14:57 Cooper, Nash and Udesky, in that order.
Huh, I knew Udesky died last, but I forgot all about Cooper when he got chopped up in the propeller blades of the plane.
I only remembered Cooper because of Nash's "Cooper is a professional, he can handle himself" just before Coop' runs in front of the plane and gets Spino'd. As a French kid I thought the names of that trio were pretty cool.
1:19
Jurassic Park (1993)
1:40
The Lost World: Jurassic Park (1997)
1:35
Jurassic Park III (2001)
I just... have never understood how someone could dislike The Lost World. 3, maybe. But IMO the only thing Lost World did wrong was not being as good as Jurassic Park.
This debate is very mundane... maybe that was the whole point... idk
Well, they are debating TLW and JP3 not Godfather 1 & 2 lol
The Lost World: Jurassic Park. Hands down.
MuffinHunterX What ending?
Wonderful video guys!
Finally the episode we've all been waiting for.
