    For me the best book for proofs is "How to prove it" by Daniel J. Velleman. Everyone who has read several books on mathematical proof techniques puts this book first.

      Thanks Maicon for your sharing! I’ve heard of Velleman's book but I haven’t read it yet. I’ll definitely give it a try someday. Appreciate your recommendation!

    Sipser's book is easily the best book on theory of computation i've ever read. it's not even close :)

    Great video, I thought the video was particularly engaging. I think maybe make the intro a bit shorter because I don't think it sets the tone for the rest of the video. I also think the editing is done really well.

      Thank you comrade's advice! Yes, your analysis on tone is absolutely correct. The intro is experimental compared to my previous fast-paced video. It was my sudden idea adding some cinematic short which indeed makes it diffent from the rest. Once again, I appreciate your feedback! I'll try to enhance in the future content.

    there is a big gap between the proof book versus the second book.

    • @hex.16
      @hex.16  2 місяці тому +1

      Hi Elias, thanks for your comment! One thing I didn't point out is that the second book covers essential math in Chapter 0, which is helpful for the rest of the book. The proof book enhances your proof reading skills, not only for this book but also for other topics like algorithm analysis. Prof. Sipser also emphasizes the importance of strong proof skills in his lecture videos. Hope it helps!
