No Username well he didn’t concede at 2 health so pretty much the only reason to continue would have been if he had lifesteal which given the position the hunter was in, was virtually impossible to come back from
Mountain giant is a bit off yes, but it was only really able to be used to combo with faceless and once it was dead it was just one large dude without any text. Then they printed a three mana faceless that draws another copy of itself and is better than faceless since it can also be used to upgrade a poorly stated minion and then copy it rather than just doing a copy effect. The card has draw an under costed, more usable molten reflection stuck onto it when it it is already that without any downsides. Like it actually has upside over a card printed before as it only needs something with a high cost in play even if it has terrible stats and then also costs less and draws another copy on play. I know that you can play combo decks with faceless and molten reflection since not all minions are the same, but still have you heard of a playable combo deck in mage which used faceless or molten recently? They are not the best cards but you still shouldn’t be power creeping their basic use case this hard. In a class which can get a turn three-4 giant, faceless is not good enough since conjures calling is more abusable in the class for the cards they have and also acts as a repeatable effect, on top of this just costing less by two mana per faceless effect, so instead of getting blown out by double molten reflection or double faceless, you just die much faster when they play conjures twice from one card and then again later on, and for the first time they are able to start off with kadgar into conjures on turn 5 rather than 8 or 10, going in with a three mana faceless plus two zero mana facelesses from a 2 mana 2/2 after playing a turn four mountain giant.
Also it is a spell rather than a minion which makes it much more of a problem due to random generation effects, which included the new spell. If they want it to be less of a blow-out card then it should just cost 4 so that you can’t just double conjures on turn 6 or thrown in kangar on like turn 5 right after playing a mountain giant or later when you play a sea giant or any of your high cost minions survive for a turn and you gg your opponent as you fill the entire board with 7-8 cost minions from like two cards which are low cost and flexible enough to squeeze in with a freeze effect while you are setting up a full tall and wide board.

He didnt advocate nerfing Mountian Giant like if it was oppressively overpowered though. He said it needed to be Hall of Famed. One of the primary reasons to HoF cards isnt because they are too good, it's that they are too limiting on the design space of expansions or just so consistent that you always see them and it gets old. I think Giant fits both of those. It is just classically good in control in a way that has made it appear in most metas since game release, and it limits design space because every cool idea for copying effects or mana cost based effects have to consider this Giant.
I find the term "lucky top-deck" so incredibly stupid... The card has been put into the deck for a reason, you can draw it at any time, just because it is drawn at the last possible moment doesn't make it any more lucky then drawing it turn 1 and it saving you...
Luck is still involved, yes, that card has been put in your deck for a reason, but the fact that drawing that card and turning the tide of the game rather than not drawing said card and losing. You don't want to keep a dead card in your hand for a bunch of turns, that's why people mulligan.
He had 7 other cards in his hand when he drew it, anyone of them could have been Lightforged Blessing. Would you call someone lucky if he drew 8 out of his 14 or so remaining cards and drew one of his 2 Lightforged Blessings in the deck? No, you would say he was unlucky if he didn't draw it... He is just as lucky to draw the card at the moment he did if he drew the card instead of the Crowd Roaster he never ended up playing, or the 6 other cards in his hand at the time... If his hand was completely empty and he had 6 cards left in his deck, one of which could save him THEN it might be considered a lucky top deck... People that call something a "lucky top-deck" just you don't understand how card games actually work...
@@Kholdaimon Hahaha, for you to put so much thought and effort in defending your argument of what a "Lucky top deck" is supposed to be. It doesn't matter if you have 6 cards in hand or none, drawing the appropriate card for a dire situation is called luck, no matter how you see it. RNG plays a big factor in card games like HS, and oops, luck does play a role in winning games in HS in general. Maybe you need to learn how the game works. Lol
@@ElShamoo RNG makes or breaks hearthstone sometimes. No one's really in control, and I think I like that part of the game and you have to build a deck to purposefully manipulate your card draw in to your favor. Novice + Shiv + Tak Nozwhisker OP
Luck plays a role, but tell me, do you know what luck means? What would be the difference between Kibler drawing the Lightforged Blessing when he did (which was his last possible chance) or drawing it instead of the Aldor Peacekeeper which was sitting in his hand all game long? Or the Crowd Roaster? Or any of the other useless cards? They could all have been the one card he needed... So is he lucky to draw Lightforged Blessing after drawing 8 cards? No... You could say he was unlucky to draw it so late in the game, he could have played around having it if he drew it earlier, the game would have been less close if he drew it instead of the cards he never used in his hand... And "so much thought and effort" is a bit of an overstatement, I literally spend 5 minutes writing these 3 replies...
