#TheMinimalists
We are all awkward.
There will always be people who "get" me and people who don't.
It's none of my business what the people who don't "get" me think about me.
I like it when another person's brand of awkwardness goes along with my brand of awkwardness.
Life is so much easier, and the world would be a significantly better place if we all relaxed and got comfortable in our own skin and stopped trying to read the minds of others. We could use that energy for so many other things that would truly bring us value.
ding ding ding! @4:45 "I find that quite often people try to hand me their shame..."
Hey Pug! I also like to say.....
"People try to hand me their steaming hot platters of SH**"
Absolutely. I noticed that too. When people try to make you feel ashamed about something they are actually projecting their own guilt onto you. I think the best thing to do is pay no attention to these people, they are battling with themselves as it is, so live your life as you wish.
I think it's important to explore the *why* of your awkwardness. Because if it's fear and shame based and it's affecting those around you that you're trying to successfully communicate with that's something to be aware of and hopefully work on.
I feel the most awkward when I put on a mask. For me hypocrisy = awkward.
The fear of being interpreted incorrectly…the nail on the head. I never heard it expressed that way. It’s me in a nutshell.
I’m an introvert and seems like I am always misunderstood. I don’t care so much now as people will think what they want. I just want to live and be happy and not care what others think.
As a introvert with adhd. Your only as inverted as you choose to be! Fuck everyone else. Be the person you want to be.
Ryan is so cool. He wants to be seen for who he really is. "Minimalist and stupid." But he is not stupid. Quite the opposite. He's so smart. So genuine. That is a beautiful thing.
Great points brought to light here!
Vanessa you're so amazing, as are both Minimalists!
Please don't misunderstand that I don't give a damn what anyone thinks 😁 ✌️
Guurrrlll....be yourself; always. You are worthy! We are fearfully and wonderfully made!
I'm an extrovert and I'm awkward lol.
This video is really good
The "M" logo in the corner as well as it on the Mic is very distracting & redundant. I'd like to see the mic clean and be able to focus on the person instead of seeing an M brand-ad in my face. Very distracting imo.
Why did you do this to me.... didn't even notice it really until NOW. STAHPPPP
@@wearesojourners eek soooorrryyy! it was meant to be helpful feedback. but yeah, it is THAT distracting!
Compared to clips from 2-3 months ago, they are using that logo sticker to cover up the logo/name of the microphone brand that was also distracting, and sometimes even more when it was turned upside down.
@@Nordtroll ah yeah, the rode logo? Rode branding is always way too excessive.
I find it distracting because the font of the m made me think of m&m’s and I now I can’t stop
Hmmmmmmmmmm, yeah
So interesting, i love it, guys!
Keep going
Embrace the awkward.
I think we do need to care about how we are seen by others. It is a Biblical command to follow in Jesus footsteps, that means exercising our faith, not just simply believing, so our behavior can either help draw people to God, or turn them away. Also, our self-esteem comes from having God's approval and trying our best to live by his principles.
Bring in Mia Khalifa to talk about shame!
