Nice. You don`t build things to break. Hope you can get another mpg out of her.

Looks great! Maybe you could cut a little door on the inside and use the nose area for storage. Enjoying the build series. Safe travels to the desert.Merry Christmas.

Well even though you give me a heart attack every time you stand on the hood I think it worked out really great. Here’s hoping for better mileage and maybe handling. ~Mel

You could put MIRRORS on those front panels

The question I have is the rated weight that the van can carry and what that top piece adds to that weight along with any installation in the van to make it a camper/live in mobile home.

Put in a small door. I see a storage compartment………..

Shape for wind deflection should have been built into the original construction?
When will you tell us the total materials cost, weight, and hours of labor?
Wind deflection below the box, into the windshield area, will be minimal relative to the total frontal mass, because the windshield is already curved left/right.
A diamond facet point "nose cone" shape will be more effective because your extension forward is not very great.
The facet shape will also be less affected by cross winds.
Also, expect the rear area drag is considerable. Which is very difficult to reduce.
Does this deflector extend beyond the front bumper?
Did you consider a curved deflector shape?
2/3/4 layers of 1/8" plywood face, each panel layer glued to each other while installing, use roll on contact adhesive. Top/bottom panels 1/2" material, cut radius of frontal arch left/right.

You could drilll holes in the V and let the birds nest in there and have a portable moving bird house!!!!
