    Seems like this will fit the bill for my use case. Thanks! Love the "I HAVE THE POE" slogan. Btw what is the song used for this video? It really makes me feel the PoE. :)

    How can I ping or programme an ip device from an i pad with this is there an app?

    • @PoETexas
      @PoETexas  3 роки тому

      If you'd like to use your device to communicate with a second device on the same network, it depends on what that device is. For example, if the second device presents a web browser, you simply need to get the IP address off the device. Usually you can find that from your router's IP table if you don't know it. Using your iPad to check your router's IP tables is a very simple way to confirm communication. Normally you can open a browswer interface to your router if you have that information. If you'd like to confirm communication with the second device and you can install iPerf3, then you can even check bandwidth communication. Finally, you can find a variety of SSH clients on the app store. Personally, I have used and liked iTerminal, though I'm not exactly an SSH Client expert.
      What are you trying to talk to?

    It would be helpful if the URLs in your description were actual links. No way to follow them from the UA-cam app on my iPad. (Ironic.)

      @@PoETexas for sure. We are installing surface pro 7 in prisons/detention centers/jails and we would like to only pull category cable vs that and AC power.

    Could this be used to send a video feed from a PoE camera to a USB C device?

    • @tylerandrews1489
      @tylerandrews1489 2 роки тому +1

      Yes, this connects an USB-C device to the network. You'll need to find the right software or browser on the USB-C device to access the video stream on the PoE camera.
