Hello! Love your all's content. Just wanted to correct the wagon rules. Unless something has changed with the reprint, when the feature on which the wagon was originally played is completed, the owner of the wagon may then move the wagon to another incomplete and unoccupied feature that is connected to the first feature by way of a road. So it's not necessarily adjacent tiles. And they can't move through a road juncture to get to an applicable feature, so there may be several situations where the wagon must be removed from the board because there are no applicable locations for it to move to. At least that's the way I read the rules for the previous printing. Maybe that will help the wagons to not feel so broken. I can't really say from experience though because I've only gotten to play with the expansion once or twice. Wish I could play with it more often though. Carcassonne is a great game!
Hey Sam!! i was wondering if you're gonna be making more videos like these for other Carcassonne expansions? Cause there's a few new re-prints of the expansions 4,6,8and10
Hi, Sam. Nice review of a nice expansion of one of my favorite games. There are a couple of things which could be clearer, and two of them are about the abbey tiles. It was almost clear, but by 'completely sorrounded' it would be good to say that it means that the four orthogonally neighbouring tiles must be there and the diagonally neighbouring tiles are not important, unlike the tiles necessary to complete a monastery. Further, in your case the city doesn't become complete, but rather the potential city becomes two separate complete cities, since the abbey borders act like walls. This is what I remember from the top of my head: there are a couple of other things I'm not sure about regarding the cart movement. Anyway, your explanation is perfectly clear to show off the expansion's features, and I expect that any one who buys it should read the rules before playing it. (And even if I don't write a comment on all videos, I enjoy very much watching yours, Tom's and Zee's. Keep up the good work!)
Carcassonne's been going through an artstyle rennaisance since 2014, when the former artist dropped out before then and they had to find a new one. So far, 1, 2, 3, and 5 have been rereleased in the states while 1-6 are out in Germany. It could very well be that Sam (or another contributor) hasn't picked it up for some reason, either due to unavailability or lack of interest (Zman has been acquired since 2016 and they've been working out how to restructure Zman and also clearing up contracts for international games). Just thought to say.
We have a much older version of this expansion without barns and wagons. Is it worth upgrading? Do the new expansions work with the older ones or has the art style changed to much?

The new version rules clearly mention that the wagon can move only to an adjacent tile, so I guess they have changed.

Great review sam, just started playing with my wife- it’s a tense 2 player game!
Love this
My group just started playing Carssonne. This 5th expansion looks fun... but I don't see a 3rd and 4th expansion on your channel did I miss something?

Thanks a lot @TheLomdr appreciate information.
TheLomdr 10 is out now, too.
