Psalm 37 - Wasilla Bible Church

Psalm 37 is a beautiful wisdom psalm from which Jesus draws in his famous Beatitudes of Matthew 5. For example, Jesus says, "Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth," echoing Psalm 37:11, "the meek shall inherit the land." He says, "Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied," echoing Psalm 37:6, "He will bring forth your righteousness as the light, and your justice as the noonday." He says, "Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God," echoing Psalm 37:37, "there is a future for the man of peace."
