- Vogue Paris visited singer Mélissa Bon in her Parisian apartment to take a closer look at her style. She invited us into her home in the Marais to talk music, interior design and inspirations and give us an insight into her style. Born in Geneva to an Ethiopian mother and French-Swiss father, she's lived in Paris for 8 years, spending her time between France and Switzerland. Enter into the world of this 26 year old singer-songwriter who has just written her first album Nomad.

What do you mean finally a black woman
she's not "black" she is Ethiopian/franco-swiss. black is an identity of the colonized peoples who had their roots torn and its this reductive view of identity that is wrong with people. Ethiopia is one of the ONLY countries in the world to NEVER be colonized. dont deny her heritage because her melanin fits into your narrow perception of identity....
@@mnaoitb1 She talks about race, not nationality. We are all human, but we aren't all blind about what color and culture she comes from. So yes by race she is black and she is white. You make this whole race thing like it should be an offense. Yes she looks black. Basically brown in all shades with curly/coilly hair. Overall I get what you are trying to say.

Lovely, lovely. So much to look at and absorb, from the architectural design, the furnishings, the art, the skin, the hair, the couture! Needs to slow down though. Cannot read the français and see the beauty at the same time. Had to watch it twice, once for dialogue and the other for visual. Moved to quickly.
