This has all the niche array of beats I loved from MG's work- and tbh Im surprised abouy that after being somewhat dissappointed overall by the neon white ost (The cut/MG edits were *fucking* insane),buy of fucking course mg didnt keep trying to chase the popularity dragon and instead focused on refining something like this into an absolute masterpiece.
i understand the sentiment but i don't agree with the idea that neon white was in any way chasing popularity. at its core it was an incredible opportunity and the demo tracks align a lot more with what we would expect than what was put in the final version. all in all they were much more smoothed out and had less impact in the game, which makes sense because you don't want the music to overshadow the game (it still does for a lot of us and its a great OST regardless). mg always puts in the work and i'll always be happy for more.
@@iamandyFEARME My issue is primarily there's a giant like 2 hr cut ost full of awesome mg works not inside of neon white ost, I didnt mean for it to sound like mg was doing it personally, but neon white was probably the closest they ever got to someone trying to make their music (especially in album form) mainstream and ""likeable""; and rather than make another album by those rules they made- MG made another fucking awesome album. . I guess I should also say I dont hate the neon white ost, but it definitely lacks most of everything else that makes machinegirl such an emotional trip through developing as a person- the "worst" only by proxy/relation. (And also I have never played the game either which might be a fair thing to bring up for my tastes too). But hey, I more than love your input too, bro, mg is crazy fucking good.

This would be like someone saying they're disappointed by Daft Punk when they did the Tron Legacy OST... like, yeah it's a bit more structured/on-point/palatable, for a reason, it's a soundtrack for a thing. To not personally care for it is fine but it is bizarre to be "disappointed" and I would assume someone was very, very new to just music in general if that was their take

My first listen I didn’t know what to think, but this collection of tracks is incredible. All three are amazing and I find myself playing each one on repeat if not constantly rewinding the same part of a single song. Keep being yourself.
