I’m so appreciative that I found this channel a few months ago. His attitude towards life and nature is unique and beautiful to watch. Can’t wait for the next episode!
I grew up with fishing as my favorite sport. I covered all streams in my local area to a distance about 10 miles radius. Now I’m old and 100% disabled. I have gone deep-sea fishing one time. And I really enjoyed it. The videos on UA-cam are my fishing adventures now. I particularly like yours because they are down to earth without any extra flashy nonsense. I have three or four other fishing channels that I watch on UA-cam. I like them all but I like yours best. Thanks for doing it so often.
Thank you for such a kind comment. Exploring creeks and small lakes is definitely my favorite, but I want to try more deep sea fishing as well…. Anyways, it means a lot to have you subscribed and I’m honored to have you along on my adventures!
The way you appreciate everything that you do while you’re out is inspiring! I love what you do, I hope you don’t ever get bored and stop sharing with us!
Very inspiring. He has inspired me to do better and appreciate everything. Not that I didn't before but, he inspires me to do better. Pick up trash, handle my catch nicer, learn about the fish, laugh and smile when I do catch a fish, enjoy the simple things like danish sea salt..lol What a great channel.
This man is so positive abt everything n instead of going out to party’s n stuff he goes out n the woods enjoying nature and having a fun time, he just inspires me to go outside n enjoy myself n to do more and every time I see a new video from him it makes me happy because his videos r so good n everyone should take the time to watch him.
I remember when I was deployed to Afghanistan I saw packs of coyotes every night on post. It was pretty cool to watch them with night vision. I’d see one main coyote howling wherever they were. And the rest of the pack would call back. They would do that for a few minutes and it was so neat to watch. Then they would meet up and run home. I’m a country full of war it was really uplifting and really cool to see wild life do their thing.
I’m from Zambia 🇿🇲. It is in the Southern part of Africa. We have lion, leopards, cheetahs and soo much more. Would love if you’d come out here. Love your videos 👌
I tried your recipe and a nice juicy trout with golden butter roasted onions, avocado and cheese is just the best way to enjoy a self caught fish. Really thanks for your videos, because every time you catch a fish you spark so much happiness and joy, that I feel happy too.
I was literally jumping in excitement for you as you were reeling in that monster of a trout! This is what makes me excited about fishing. Thank you man!

Man I just love you. Your videos make me happy out of nowhere. Your channel has helped me whenever I'm going through a rough patch in life. Keep up the good work. Love you ♥️
I love how some episodes start out slow and peaceful with pretty views of mountains and valleys. Then you have this one where it starts right in the action. You gotta have a variety. That’s what makes this channel even better. Plus the joy of loving nature there is in these videos. God I love watching your videos.

Tiger trout here in Utah are great game fish they are a sterile, intergeneric hybrid of the brown trout and the brook trout. They get extremely big in mountain lakes and reservoirs. These are excellent game fish that put up a great fight.
I cant wait to try out your trout tacos next fishingtrip 🙌 love all your videos ❤ and because of you i fish and spending many days and night outside in the woods much more now. Thank you!😊
Among everything else you present to the growing viewership in the way of cooking, fishing, how to find baits, etc., it's the "little incidentals" that you show as well. Mentioning about stressing a branch to cut easier, by pushing it away from the cut, that means alot to someone just learning to venture out. Most exceptional (to me) is your constant desire to keep litter out of nature, it's such a great example and message, thank you for sharing your awesome experiences with us.
Sir, I really enjoy your enthusiasm when you get a fish on. Also, mad respect to you for picking up after folks who litter. Your videos make me happy. Thank you.
The small, real, and funny imperfections, great editing, and useful knowledge made your adventures relaxing, relatable, and immensely enjoyable. Of course I watched everything, you're living my dream! 😄👍 (*wipe drools 🤤)
Leif’s videos make me smile the hole time that I’m watching them and they make me so happy and give me something to look forward to every week. All that I have to say is that I love the videos Leif and keep up all the good work that you provide us.😁
seeing your videos pop up on my feed usually makes my day. It ignites that love we all have for the outdoors for me right away. Although, i'm probably half a world away from you (i'm from Pakistan, so yeah) but it feels as if i'm right next to you and living the experience. Keep entertaining us with your content. Peace!
I think that the coolest predator in Poland is Lynx but also we have wolves and foxes here. You can find grizzly bears too in mountains but they are really rare. Apart from predators wisents are pretty cool as well.
Wow! You actually have a lot of predators, that's awesome! When I lived in Germany, the biggest predators were only Lynx & Foxes. Now they are looking at re-introducing bears, wolves, etc... And I had no idea there were Bison in Europe! Glad to hear that you have a true Wilderness! Thanks for sharing 🤙

So true on the "too lazy to break out an extension cord" part!!! 😂 I probably use my Jackery around the house more than anything. Amazing how far that technology has come....

Another great episode man! Damn, a 20” trout has a heck of a lot of meat on it! Looked so delicious! I also like that you’re still rockin the duct tape sunglasses 😁 Look forward to the next one!
Love these videos man, I look forward to new episodes... I've started doing trips like this here in Wisconsin with my kids since I've found your channel, catch and cook fishing trips, camping trips teaching them all I know and learn from watching your show all around our state. We are going to start making our own videos soon too, wanting to get kids into outdoors activities and off the screens from time to time.
Been watching you for awhile now and I have this goal to be out in pacific northwest in 5 years. I would love to do these backcountry hiking trips and just being off grid. Would you have any tips for getting to that point in life? Amazing videos. Help me relax a ton.
Absolutely man! Really just take it step by step if you've never done it before. Start with camping at a camp ground and learn to cook on primitive stoves, making fires, and sleeping in tents. Slowly start replacing your "Camping gear" with "Backpacking gear. Some things might be interchangeable, but others need to be compact and lightweight in order to pack them up into the mountains. Start hiking to get into basic shape and when you feel ready, start with an easy backpacking adventure just in the hills or woods near you! See how you like it, and learn what gear you didn't need (and what gear you forgot) before you go out on longer, more remote adventures. Read up on the 10 essentials, and other safety precautions, as well as "leave no trace" principles before you go on your first adventure too. If you do all of that, you will be well ahead of other first timers and you're setting yourself up for a lot of fun and success in the wild. I hope that helps! Glad to have you subscribed 🤙
Love the videos man! The effort you put into them really shines through each time i tune in:) Im from Norway so here we have 4 main big predators, Wolf, lynx, wolverine and the brown bear (polar bear on Svalbard but thats not mainland Norway). Keep up the good work!
the appreciation for life and nature is wonderful and as i am a master naturalist and master gardener with Illinois....nature in itself is life...growing things are living things and react accordingly....great channel and love every show....thanks
I would love to see you with a buddy or with someone you could maybe share your happiness and kindness and energy with. Love you channel and your videos 🙏🙏🙏
I have just gotten back to watching due to illness in my family again. I found this one very satisfying and entertaining. Keep making them, you make my day worth waking up for.
Thank you for helping to teach me to fish! I don't have any male figures in my life able to teach me these skills but fishing is a hobby of mine! This information is very important!
I was literally air chewing my way through that last bite of trout taco along with you. Watching you land that monster was super thrill. Using low pound test makes it a real even contest I think. Now I'm getting seriously determined to get a a Dutch oven. They're great and can last in a family for generations to come. Practically indestructible. I'm Ontario side of the border - about 75 miles northeast from Niagara Falls. But my best good buddy has a farm up Algonquin Park way, about 150 miles northeast of me. There we have giant moose and probably white tail deer - that attract apex predators, the first three you mentioned, but not the fourth. So that would be black bears (no grizzlies - not until out in Alberta and British Columbia) wolves, not as big as timber, but gray, good size, and of course the coyotes that are real pests around a farm. No mountain lions (what would have been eastern panthers 200 years ago) but long gone now. It's more than a legend or a myth though, they're real scarce - but a patient woodsman might spot one in the interior of New Brunswick - due north of the state of Maine. Got a good book for ya, my friend. It's written by an expat Englishman woodsman who migrated to Canada long ago. His name is R.D. Lawrence. The title of the book is: "The Ghost Walker." And the story is riveting. He stakes out a territory in southern British Columbia, sets up a camp with a tiny cabin, and spends an early autumn to the following deep spring - establishing a relationship and understanding with a fully grown male mountain lion. The story is riveting. It's one of those can't put the book down kind of things. A rare, gorgeous, beautiful book. Love your videos. I watch them when I'm in a certain restless mood, and crave something real and peaceful, with just that hint of adventure. And I watch most of them hungry! Enjoying the nourishment from nature is a real blessing and a gift. Fish on!!!
Been watching your videos for awhile. When I found your channel I was quite depressed and seeing your videos got me back into fishing that’s a big thank you. Watching your videos till the end is my way of saying thank you plus I really enjoy your content
Nothing better then fresh caught trout. With the smaller ones if you cut the meet in to cubes (nuggets) toss them in a bag of franks buffalo sauce hit them with a little flower and put them in the Dutch oven you won’t be let down. Favorite snack while hunting the big one.
You ask what animals we have in our area, I live in Australia.... I went camping for a night last week with a friend, while we were sat at our campfire, we were watching a Kangaroo and a Possum grazing in the clearing across from us, I seen two wombats that noght, and the next morning, while we were having our coffee, the Lyrebird that kept us awake all night made an appearance, which was amazing, all we could was watch, amazed, as it crossed the path 100 metres in front of us,... In case you are wondering, what makes this occurrence amazing, is that lyrebirds are super skitish around humans, and most people NEVER see them in the wild, and we were lucky enough to watch this majestic bird wander past us, like we were nothing, while we were having our morning coffees,.... Australia is a truly amazing place,
South Africa, loving your channel, good family viewing, fishing, cooking, DIY.. etc. You are inspiring us to start fishing and fight off the hippos, lions and Crocs for our catch of the day. The Stowe's p.s hubby is a chef and enjoys your cooking combos
Your attitude towards everything is amazing 🤩 always have a smile on your face, absolutely love the content you are posting please keep it coming!! Thank you !!!
When I was a kid they would drain the ditches out by the Potholes Reservoirs and you could bring buckets and just pick up walleye and bass that were trapped in the puddles that remained. Looks like you're near there. It's worth it for the walleye. After trout, I think walleye is my next favorite fish to eat. Thanks for the videos! Your channel is great!

Australia is a truly amazing place,
I love all your videos. Can't wait for the next one.

Here in Nebraska, we have bobcats, some mountain lions, and lots and LOTS of deer, this is around the Omaha and Iowa Area.

So Cal, city coyotes and very few mountain lions in the foothills. Good to see an update on the property.

His energy just makes my day.
Never noticed the fishing rod spatula, awesome!!🤣🤣
