I've been trying to figure out how the brain aligns and overlays the various schemas (reality, imagination, working memory, geometric grid for shape), and this idea fits very nicely. The frontal cortex isn't just modulating attention, it is perhaps binding various modular components into a unitary consciousness.

Such a lecture is a kind of waste of time. Where is a mechanistic explanation how the attention in implemented in groups of neurons in the brain? Does science know how it works?
