Over the years of developing on Roblox, I've kinda developed my own way of game organisation, but after watching your very comprehensive and interesting video, I feel like I gotta tweak my organisation system a little!
If you made a scripting course I would definitely buy it, you seem to have a genuinely deep understanding of the language that actually applies to making games.
Very informative and helpful, without being too heavy with technical terms. My game development has been going great, but i need to start organizing before things become messy.
Thank you, there are some stuff that have been really used such as making prototypes first rather than making the full thing! I have been really struggled from loosing motivation because of the lack of progress.
my game is only half orignised, and a lot of the server only stuff, like modules , functions, events are all in replicated storage.. silly i know, but i didnt know much about it then, so now im going to spend the next posibble week re-orginising. Thanks.
No problem, also if possible it's better to put server scripts inside of server script service, since exploiters may have access to them and replicated storage is intended for client replication stuff.
@@Paul1Rb ye, but I had server-only modules in replicated storage, which I didn't know much about it back then, but now I have broken my whole game just to re-orginise everything and bringing the amount of scripts to as low as possible.
I'm only familiar with Knit, but personally I don't use them because I'd prefer to write my own framework. And overall, Knit has complicated more things for me and wasn't really suitable for my workflow

Yeah I'm putting my IT degree to use, and hoping that I can make the most of it to help other people out too

Really cool tutorial. Learning this helps all other aspects of codes.
That's great to hear, glad you can learn a lot from these 👍

@@Paul1Rb exploiters can't access server scripts, it's safe to put them anywhere.
@@execute214 Ye, I meant for modules used server sided
@@Paul1Rb turns out im still organising, im living in hell.

I organize using modules, folders and everything and also try to make my code clean.
Somehow it always ends up a mess.
Hopefully this can help with me not lose motivation
THANK YOU!!!!!! MY GAME IS A MESS
What do you think about using framework like knit, matter and canary engine
