Yeah that's what I use to commands and I put one of them about every foot and that white trim videos using is RFP trim so if anyone goes to Lowe's or Home Depot and they're looking for it and you need to explain to an employee what you're looking for just tell them you're looking for RFP trim I just had to put that out there I'm a construction worker
Instead of using staples I use 3m strips that are used for command hooks, paint won't come off and that way you are not piercing through the pastic and risc damaging your cards, I also display them horizontally so I can see the artwork of the package itself
Thanks Shawn i have about 12 thousand model cars from nearly every country been collecting since I was a 12 year old boy some 40years later my love for diecast models is still strong cheers Stephen 🤠🍀✌️👍
Hi Shawn, thanks for the video, very helpful! I had a video idea for you: Common hot wheels treasure hunting mistakes to avoid. Such as not knowing which cars you’re looking for so you or check every single car for the t hunt logo, not recognizing when cars have already been picked over, etc.
nice display on the wall I have also made a DiY wall shelves and the materials I used are Foam Board and stick glue to my small collection the size is 1:36 , also planning to try hotwheels and minichamps in the future ...thanks for info and idea 😊
I've honestly had lil desire to display mine on the wall, but this is a pretty sweet solution. You might have made me reconsider. Thank you UA-cam Algorithm! And Shawn. :)
Just did this and for the betterment of all.. ensure you get the metal staple gun.. bought a husky that comes with staples and did not work, then exchanged for a rubber handle staple gun, this also did not work based on where the staples come out. Ensure you get the arrow brand in metal to ensure you can mount the moulding
My way is different. I buy wooden poll strips then put hooks on the top and then I buy these metal pins and bend them so that it holds the car by its hook. Looks very clean if you want all the cars to be stripped next to each other at the same heights and the polls are easier to move so you don’t have to take all the cars on and off but simply move the poll to somewhere else with the cars on them.
Sterling protectors are the best ... I see people selling those cheap ones (something like the RLC cars have) and ask the high prices. The only ones that deserve those prices are the Sterling ones!
Hey Shawn… awesome video. A spontaneous question, but what protectors do you use… Sterling? Have you heard of Platinum Protectors? If so what do you think of them
I never had a problem with them in the laundry room. They were only in that room for about a year and then I moved. I keep them in a climate controlled room now.
Brilliant. One question what are the dividers used for exactly? I’m from Greece and I can’t seem to find them ! They are probably called something else here. If I knew what they were used for I might be able to find them . Thanks in advance !!!
Nice, I've seen this type of display, but you couldn't move the cars around easily. I've a pneumatic stapler, that would probably work better, for keeping the staples flat. Thanks....✌
The cars I don’t have in sleeves. If I display them like this. Will the weight from the cards over lapping damage the bottom of the cards do you know? Idk if that makes sense
I get what you're saying, I'm looking to do this also but I guess with what you said you could just do so many and make another cross run about mid way then continue. I'm curious if the staples will be strong enough to hold the weight after so long... plus I'm not a 100% with putting holes in the wall.
Hello Shawn, I tried every possible way to find these dividers in Mumbai/India. Does anyone have any idea where I would be able to find it online/offline in India?
Moulding for holding: 1/4 in. x 1-3/8 in. x 96 in. White PVC FRP/Tile Divider Moulding End cap strip: 3/16 in. x 13/16 in. x 96 in. White PVC Tile Cap Moulding Trim (Both on Home Depot) Hope this helps someone!!
And there are some options on Lowe’s (and they’re a lot more expensive) but I found some black ones with ideal depth; Outwater H Channel Fits Material 1/4-in Thick Black Styrene Divider Moulding 46-in Length (Pack of 2)
Id rather use double sided tape than ruin my wall with staples. Also, a person may not have the type of wall that staples will work on. Id much rather damage paint than have to fix a bunch of holes. Repainting is easier than fixing a bunch of small holes. Anyways very creative way of displaying your cars. Very nice video. I like your setup.
They also have paint friendly two sided tape so you don't have to peel paint off your walls. I'm against putting holes in my walls.

Just be mindful of the paint type and how many layers. I’m renting military housing and the paint is so thick, it peels of with command strips. 😕
You're very good at breaking down a complicated process.
Very informative.
Keep it up!
Thank you so much. I appreciate the feedback!

Good display brother.

Video was very informative thank you
That's a great idea thanks for sharing 😊👍👍
You’re welcome 😎
Nice, I will have to try this.
This is a great idea not just for casting so many applications. Must be able to get cheaper protectors the price reflects on any resale of castings
Good video mate! Alternatively, blue tack is another option, that could still hold the weight? Thanks for sharing.
👍
Finished phase one of my wall. Many thanks.
great idea, I know where Im headed this weekend :)

I wonder if you could do this horizontally, so the whole card shows. If the channeling would hold 🤔
Thanks for the tips
Hey Shawn, can you space the moldings far enough apart that you can take the carded cars without protectors out like you can the ones in protectors?
Thank u!!I'm gonna do this on my 4runner ceiling 😊
Are there any protective cases for the monster trucks?
THANK YOUUUU SM!!!!, I swear everything now is way too expensive and it requires you to remove the packaging off them so appreciate the video!!
Amazing tutorial, Thanks a Lot!
Thank you!
What size staple dis you use????
What do you use for the bottom section of your card display ?
very awesome
Thank you! Cheers!
hi! how where u able to get the staple into the little gap in the dividers, its sooo small i cant seem to make any stapler fit.
thanks!
Muchas Gracias, best explanation for me....Only one question can I buy car's from you?
Thank you! But unfortunately I don’t sell cars.

Well said
Genuine question here.
Does having your collection in your laundry room affect your cards? You know because of the Moister , heat and what not ?
I never had a problem with them in the laundry room. They were only in that room for about a year and then I moved. I keep them in a climate controlled room now.
Good video. Just curious, is the bottom piece just another 8ft end moulding turned upwards?
Nice 👍🎉🥳
is it wood or plastic? Please
Plastic!

Very Helpful video!! Thank you I just did have one question. What did you use for the bottom to prevent them from falling?
Curious about what to use at the bottom too
@@stress-freecalmingandsooth8195 He used another strip as the bottom... look closely

Hey Shawn, I got a lot of hotwheels and I want to display them but they don't have a box anymore so how can I display those?

what if you want to remove the moldings and move them?
Just pull on the strip and the staples will come out with it.
