So exciting that you're learning BSL! I'm a teacher of the Deaf in the U.S. so I use ASL but I love seeing people learn sign languages especially if it will help with accessibility!

Ouch Mouse I was really enjoying it, yes! Had to have a break now that university has got really intense, although one of my modules is called ‘language in atypical circumstances’ and we actually had a BSL week last week which was also really insightful!

I've been doing that course too, as an autistic i cant always speak and also learning bsl is good for any deaf people i may interact with. It's really interesting in general (also if im coming off as a shitty hearing person learning bsl for wrong reasons i am v sorry, i dont intend it at all)

Oh it’s fascinating to learn. I really enjoy learning about where certain signs come from, which this course doesn’t teach at all. Like the sign for church looks... questionable... but it comes from the action of ringing the bells 😁

@@OuchMouse yes that what's interesting to me, how some of them you can see the reasoning behind the signs immediately, and others have a more 'hidden' meaning of it that you have to look to find out
