- Hello Family,

Newly qualified Midwife 🤝 Preceptorship programmes:
The purpose of a preceptorship programme is to provide support during the transition from student to Midwife. My preceptorship programme has included; classroom teaching, e-learnings, online teaching, independent study and attainment of role-specific competencies.
The programme also provides individualised support in practice by a preceptor. The goal of a preceptorship programme is for the newly registered midwife to develop their confidence and autonomy.

Hi Nadine!! Great video thanks for sharing :) Just one question, so when a midwife starts working in the UK you need to do a nine to five schedule? Is it mandatory? And then you can switch to the 12h shift 3x a week? And stay like that forever in the midwifes life? Thank you!!!
No you don’t need to do a 9-5 rota unless you decide that’s what you want to do. You can do 12hr shifts x3 days a week or you can choose to do 9-5 but it’s not mandatory x
