This is a fantastic step.
I was in the process of label hunting.
First year getting things ready to sell after 2 years of starting from nothing.
Just hobby so far.
Thanks for all you do and I love your excitement.
How’d your first year of selling go?
I used all I produced to grow organic white potatoes. I have severe allergies and it's one of the foods I can eat.
My home blended soil was really good. Potatoes grew well.
But unfortunately the peak of the smoke from Canada appeared at flowering time for the potatoes.
Due to smoke related skys my blooming failed. Very small crop.
My health has gotten me down and just had a left total hip.
All I have is 2 bins. European crawlers and red wigglers .
I just maintaining enough to do home gardening right now. Have another hip surgery to come. I out of any real activity for a year
@@rickpearce7876 wow, sorry to hear!
Ya I saw the smoke over the summer all the way down in SE Wisconsin.
I just scooped up an urban worm
Bag last week on FB marketplace for $30, so I have 2000 red wrigglers in there, hoping to build it up over winter so I can start harvesting come spring time. If I like it enough, I’ll probably order another and another 1000 worms after harvesting casting from the tote I have my first 1000 in.
I plan on buying a few cubic yards from a guy 4 hours up north to do a private label type thing and sell at a few farmers markets by me and to local nurseries and greenhouses come springntime
Captain Mat you’re so helpful I was watching another wormer on UA-cam and he said he wouldn’t given up his secrets. Thanks for your open heart.
Thank you captain Matt, and all the others who gladly share their info! God bless you.
Thanks CAPTAIN Matt for all that you do for all of us. God bless you and your family.
Thank for everything you do, I watch every episode and I’m always amazed at how well you explain everything. I’m grateful for your help! Look forward to using your gifts to all of us!
You are awesome Capt. Matt! Thanks for all the resources you provide everyone!!!
Oh Matt, I'm so thrilled for you ❤🪱❤️
Your wife is finally going to stop asking when you'll be making a profit 😂
You really are making a difference in the world 🌎 keep it growing 🪱❤️🪱
Thanks for the insight Captain Matt. Is the 5 gal bucket filled with castings or tea or is it a bucket to make tea in for the customer?

Thanks Captain Matt for all you do for for us worm people!
You are my inspiration. Great work by your family.
You my friend have been a God Send. I am starting my worm business here in Missouri and have been overwhelmed with the social media e-commerce part of this. Just what you have offered today has taken a headache off and away from me. Also, I am getting the news letter, but I am trying to set up an account and haven't gotten the email back to co.ment. Can we use this info or pictures do do with 100% as we want? This is great information to have on our websites also
Have a wonderful day at market next Saturday, hoping you will Video some of the day at Market.😊
The coloring book is great. We primarily sell our [product] to adult recreationalists, we have an activity book for them. Coloring, word search, matching. Madlib, cartoons etc, big hit (not for kids though). Worms are the best an so is this channel!!!
Captain Matt you are a true treasure to the worm world!
Tou are doing great, Matt. I'm excited to see worm farming businesses progress. The more worm farming businesses there are, the more people we have helping to keep our planet pollution free.
Captain Matt, you are inspirational. I hope you get as much back as you give. Testing medium depth on your wheat grass recipe as we speak. A shallow base seems preferable, but I'll let you and all know what I learn.
Thank you Captain Matt for your kindness. I Follow you from México
Love your channel!! I try to watch them all. I signed up for the newsletter but haven’t seen anything yet. Excited to see the labels. Thanks for all you do!!
Thank You Captain Matt, I found your tube video and they have made a big impact in the way i now garden.
You are blazing the trail for us captain that thank you
Plenty of great products. 👍
Thank you for your help. This is a time saver.
Love all the new material. Thank you for sharing ❤
Thank You 🎉
You’re the greatest cap’
Thank You Captain Matt and all the Team, love your UA-cam channel, and very excited to be part of it all and learning more from you.
Thank you Captain Matt. Been watching you for a few years now and enjoy all your videos thoroughly! You are a great inspiration
I'm already subscribed to the newsletter! Can't wait for the info! We've been working slowly on developing a banner, etc., but neither of us are very creative. Love what you are doing with things.
Thank you for all you do, Captain Matt! Glad to be a part of the worm movement before it takes the world by storm. 😉
Love those amber bottles
love your set up. I made one of the trash can bins last year but have since switched to the small bins like yours. I am going to take the trash can bin and cut it about 2 inches below the pvc then add some 1/2 inch hardware cloth below the pvc to prevent moles from entering the bin and put it in the garden area to use as a composting worm bin in the garden. I think this will be a good addition for the garden. Good luck with the farmers market
Hi Captain Matt!!! I am very new to worm farming. I’m still in the process of getting everything together. My 7 year old granddaughter and I are about to start a worm farm. I was given your site info from Frank at 4 Corners Worm Farm.
Oh my goodness, I’ve been watching your videos for 6 hours straight haha. I absolutely love all of your information. I am even more excited now than I was before. I am so eager to learn more about worm farming. As of now, I’m just in it for fishing bait but in the long run, composting. Keep up the amazing work! Love your videos, thank you so much!!
Good energy good karma good educator - good grief I start to wonder if I can make a living as we have put an addition on my shop building a new building spending my time working on worms period it’s my life’s goal I’m running on faith -using as many recycled materials on buildings for the worms as possible if not recycling we’re waiting on-a deal and just knowing it’s good and natural keeps me going and you give so much motivation and giving it away I’m liking and doing the same for anyone interested I tell them I will share anything I know ask any questions if I don’t know we can find out for sure by trial and error as lots of people saying different things but you good sir are spot on and can’t thank you enough we have done a lot and have a lot more to do before we can make a living I believe sighhh
Thanks!
Thanks for your generosity!
Nice!
Awesome. So glad I found your channel. You are an inspiration. Do you ship your castings yet or is it still local sales only?
Great video Captain. I love the setup it is very simple and easy on the eyes. I am wondering if along with the hand sanitizer that you could offer a simple disposable glove to use for sampling the castings. This might help with the squeamish buyers. Also would there be any benefit to having a kitchen sized composter available for people to view and purchase? I am building my worm world and planning to get into the market in a couple of years. I am also thinking of having a few 12 packs of fishing worms available to purchase. I do appreciate your time, videos and enthusiasm.
Hi Capt'n, fantastic setup. You'll do well. Not to get off the track here, but I was receiving the newsletter every Sunday, and then last Sunday, and today, there was no newsletter in my email. Am I doing something wrong, or is there something I didn't do? Thanks very much. God bless.
Thank you for ALL the information. I’ve been unable to download the labels and signs. Can you help me?! Thanks.
Where can we get the sealable paper bags you are using for castings? Great video thank you very much.
Hey Matt, any chance i could get dimensions of those cardboard boxes and the bag sizes? Fantastic idea! Very Professional! 👍❤
Captain Matt, big question? Do worms sleep, Red Wigglers
Thank you Captain Matt for being such an enthusiastic teacher, environmentalist, and guardian of Mother Earth. She needs our help to heal after all the damage we've caused her.👍 Blessings to you and your family. ❤🙌🙌🙌🙌

Looking great I love it. Anyone know a small worm business in Massachusetts, I’ve been looking for a local supply for my garden this year.
Also, how do I get ahold of one of those coloring books? My granddaughter would goes nuts! Haha
Since you have changed the amount of castings to a gallon. How many square feet do you say that it will feed? Have you changed your application rates?
Captain Matt, Can you feed fresh cut Alfalfa to the worms?
When will this be released? Signed up but haven’t seen anything. Hoping I didn’t miss it.
Hey Manda - just launched today at learn.wormpeople.com/
How do you sell your worm tea? I heard after a couple of hours it goes bad? Do you brew it and then immediately package it and head to the farmers market?
Hey Kyle… I bottle it on Friday night for Saturday AM sales at the farmers market - and instruct folks to use it immediately.
What size boxes are the 1 gallon ones?
Captain Matt is there a difference between compost tea and worm casting tea?
Compost tea is made with compost, worm casting tea is made with worm casting :)
@Northeast Worms sorry I understand that however I'm told compost tea has no benifits to a garden or plants. Does the same hold true to worm casting tea?
@@remix381 they told you wrong. Worm casting tea is the best gift you can give to your plants
What are the dimensions of those 1 gallon boxes?
Can you tell me the dementions of the quart bags, I thought I had the info but I can’t find it thank you
Hey Chris… it’s the largest bag available listed on page 3 at learn.wormpeople.com/course/labels-and-signage 7.9" x 11.8" amzn.to/400Z3K7
@@CaptainMattsWorms got it thank you so much
I just found your worm casting tea making video, do you sell your worm castings I'd love to buy some and if not where would I find them?
Hey Pat… Thanks for your interest. I only sell locally here in the Albany, NY area. If you do some searching, You may be able to find a local worm person near you.
@@CaptainMattsWorms I live in Vermont and have been to Albany many times I have friends in Chattam
@@patbaker6345 Glad to have you stop by (North Troy, NY) if you’d like to pick some castings up. Drop me a message at wormpeople.com/contact/
Hi Captain Matt,
I am interested in starting a worm breeding business. I just started my research stage and was wondering what would you suggest on how to start ?
Hey James... best to just dive in at a small scale - taking care of worms for castings may be a better first step than breeding.
@@CaptainMattsWorms Thank you so much
Hey, quit yelling
I’ve only got one volume… And that’s “EXCITED ABOUT WORMS” 😂
@@CaptainMattsWorms that's awesome
@@CaptainMattsWorms Love it!
