Guys, I've been renovating and building my own houses for many years, so I feel qualified to comment. Jeff, your skills and just gettin' it done attitude are second to none! You are a good man, and your daughter deserves you!
Y'all are a true reflection and total inspiration as too the people of Alabama 😎 as we have been battled from within...Y'all stand strong...God be with..
Jeff, Hannah, all I can see is pure beauty for this house build. I feel the old barn wood and beams will help give your house more character. What I see with this house build is "a lot" of "LOVE" to make this house a warm loving home. Jeff, Hannah, Thank you for sharing this.
Jeff has the whole house already covered in metal on his Instagram channel. It seems Jeff's building skills are much faster than Hannah's editing skills... Looking good 👌 Thanks for the video! 🇺🇸
Jeff is such a cool dude. He’s a great father, teacher (he knows how to do everything), has a great personality, and is in better shape than guys half his age. Goals!
The connection you have with your dad is so awesome. I lost my dad to cancer in 2000, and not a day goes by I don't think about him. Love watching what you guys do together. Keep up the great work the house is looking great guys.
I have nothing but the deepest respect and admiration for Jeff Barron. Is there anything on earth this man cant build. If God ever needs another ark built, there is no doubt he will ask Jeff Barron to build it.
Hannah you should be proud to have such a talented father ,& if I can say he did a terrific job raising you ! You both tickle me in you're vids !Thumbs up to you both !
My Dad was much like Jeff. These home building videos bring back lots of great memories but today, marks 35tg anniversary of his passing. He was only 56 years old. Not a day passes where I don’t think of him. Hannah thank you for sharing these videos and bringing my mind back to a simpler time. ✌️☀️💪
My father used to salvage lumber from old houses and would set off a small charge inside the houses to loosen old rusty nails. Don't know if you have ever done something like that but a word of caution if you do; my father used too big a charge one time and ended up not being able to salvage much from that house.
Great job y’all! i’d leave it open too! when you start adding walls, it takes away from the size of what you really have… I know you guys will do what is best for you, and that’s all it matters… Superior workmanship! You guys, stay safe, stay healthy, and God bless! From Central Texas, yeeeehaw! Look forward to y’all’s videos!
Upstairs, half wall for room with either a sliding barn style walls, shutterstyle or acordian to keep noise down when in use. Can open to that large look when room not in use. On clod days, run a vent from very top to blow warm air down to eaither floor level or under the house. Have fan variable and reversible to blow the cooler air up on the hot days. This can make it easier to ballance the air in the house. In my house, I run cool water throuh a big truck radiator (hidden in basement) to dehumidify the air.
Hey Jeff… will you come to Kentucky and build my house? I’ve been admiring your carpentry since you built that game hoist skinning station. But this house is awesome!! And the fact that it is for your daughter makes it a million times better. Keep up the good work!
Who the heck needs Crocodile Dundee when you have Jeff Barron? Not only is he an accomplished frontiers man and hunter. He can practically single hand-idly build a house, rebuild a car or truck, and guide citified tourists.
That was a good one Hannah, golly washer...lol...you can send all the rain you guys don't want down here to me in Tampa..😊We've been dry way too long...
Jeff this looks unbelievable, I’d definitely be leaving that top floor open, perhaps a waist height wall to block some noise, especially with those exposed beams.
You are correct about that 5.4 and that 4.6 Ford engine. In fact, Ford made a special tool just to remove those spark plugs and I believe they redesigned the spark plugs as they would break off. All 8 of mine broke off and they were a bear to remove.
🌴I’m play’n catch up on y’alls vids , that place is huge ! Ya gonna need a road map just to get around in there , 😄 have ya picked out a trophy wall yet 👍🏼 are you gonna have a stone fire place ? That sure is one heck of a place ya got there Hanna it’s going to be beautiful when it’s done , hey Jeff y’all are busier than a one armed wall paper hanger with an itch 😆👍🏼
My two cents is to leave it open, or a work in a somewhat hideable slideable partition for noise/privacy? Open Kitchen looks great and inviting even unfinished
Coming along. If I suggested something? If you add a small piece of 2x on each side of the headers on the windows. This way when Hannah hangs curtains up when it's finished, she'll have something to nail into. Otherwise, the trim work may cover both stud and jack stud. My suggestion is only based upon experience.
An idea for the area over the kitchen. How about a partial wall with barn doors that you could close for privacy and slide them open for that open air feel.
Hannah, when Jeff said evening instead of morning, you looked at your watch in disbelief! Have you been out partying all night? LOL! Just kidding! Appreciate y'all back at ya!
I’m so jealous…in a good way. First, for your relationship with your daughter. Second, for the honest and easy going nature of both your personalities. No bullshit, just real stuff. And third, damn I’m really jealous of both your skills in using your hands to create stuff. It’s heartwarming to be exposed to the ‘real’ American culture. Glad it still exists.
the loft... we dont want Merle falling off the loft so leaving open is not an option.. looking after the dog in charge! Everything is looking GREAT! Sure does rain a lot down your way.
Jeff that was the only good thing about working at a dealership, was the specialty tools they sent out in a plastic case that were just for a certain model. Which was mostly for bearing races and transmission overalls. Those heads barely had enough room to get a spark plug wrench down there. I ruined many a dental tool digging the crap out from around the plugs just to get the crap loose so I could blow it out of there with air and get the spark plug wrench in. Then you had to have every cylinder on top dead center before removing the plug so you could stick a small air tube down in the cylinder and blow the crap out that had fell in. If you didn't do that you prayed it would go out with the first exhaust stroke. Otherwise you took a chance of scoring a cylinder with crap. I thought of many more ways of getting revenge on those stupid engineers from "Fix Or Repair Daily and Chove it and leave it". The only Dodge product I ever worked on was a power wagon , and that was trying to get the manual transmission out of and into another gear. Never did find out what it was? Another mechanic took over the job when they heard the cussing and swearing coming from the cab. I was hoping before I took the transmission off that it was it clutch problem, and possible froze up pilot bearing on the input shaft? I rambled on again, sorry. I feel your frustration for that, but I do appreciate the awesome job you're doing on Hannah's house.!!! Just to go a little Southern for a while, "y'all have a good day now , ya hear"..!
You should always run a waterproofing membrane underneath your roof tin. Temperature swings in the insulation cavity will lead to dew point being reached and condensation on the underside of the tin, especially in Georgia climate
i love listening to Jeff & Hannah talk!
Yes indeed,,, truly what we should aspire to be....😎

Yeah, except what man would want to move into this home? Not me. Lol. Can’t you see what he is doing? Playing the role of a…drum roll…HUSBAND!! 😂🍻🫣
best quote ever " I just work here"

And a great Husband, builds her home for her. 🤓🫣
Been rehabbing my 1950s garage/shop. Your house build has been giving me the momentum to kick my butt into gear somedays.👍
Looks like an awesome build so far. Adding those split steps will make an awesome look to the interior. Cant wait to see the finished results.
Man that house is huge, it looks like the inside of a public library. I like it! Going from your tiny house to hat will be a huge change.
Hannah will be walking around looking for the exit. 😂
That's okay Hannah, even the best of us some times suffer from a ' Peach Imspeadent' or ' Marble Mouth.'
The connection you have with your dad is so awesome. I lost my dad to cancer in 2000, and not a day goes by I don't think about him. Love watching what you guys do together. Keep up the great work the house is looking great guys.

Coming along nicely guys. 👌👏👏
Really good mechanic, man does it all .
Going to be a damn nice crib.
With all/most wood coming right off the property 👌
I'm amazed you do not have to have plans drawn, approved and stamped in order to build a house. Now that's living!!!
For the upstairs to stay open, how about a glass wall for the office so it cuts down the noise but you still see the whole place?
Excellent idea!
Sliding windows to the downstairs as a wall, so they can be opened, but yes, great idea!
4°clock is afternoon after 6 is evenin . Comin along really well Jeff.

If you leave the loft open you will be able to hear what the kids are up to. (Just thinking of the future.) Appreciate you sharing.

I never get tired of watching yall two . One thing for sure not a lazy bone in yall

Jeff, on the Ford engines that is "Murphy's law" " IF ANYTHING CAN GO WRONG IT WILL AT THE WORST POSSIBLE TIME"
A Glass wall would make a nice addition to keep the open feeling of the ceilings
Sliding barn style doors for the loft, would be awesome.
I got an $80 plug socket floatin around my F150 5.4l !! Lost it changing plugs. Luv the aroma of fresh lumber almost as much as bacon !!
Short and sweet, the way of the country folks!! lol
Too many walls will make a small place even smaller, open and tall ceilings help make smaller area's feel much bigger! Love the design and porches.
A true craftsman

Put a wall section in the middle at the beam for the fridge and stove / oven.

My honda hybrid is a 4 cylinder with 8 spark plugs that deep as well. Just plain dumb lol. I wish I lived out there where you are, its beautiful.
Jeff please upload another video of this house. Its cool and kinda neat.
