A study on the dark, ever-evolving relationship between Hannibal Lecter and Will Graham from NBC's Hannibal. I wanted to place particular emphasis on the journey to balance and cohesion that exists between the two by the very end of the series, as they come to terms with how their love for one another (destructive though it may be) has irrevocably changed them. It's a fascinating dynamic that I hope we'll one day see explored again onscreen.
I realize that a song about stalking and obsession runs counter to the idea of mutual benefit and understanding, but what I hoped to convey in this video is that this obsession and pursuit is happening on both sides of the relationship. Yes, it is manipulative and disastrous, but when has their story ever been anything but?

The fannibal fandom is full of talented people
To say that this video is an amazing piece of artwork is to say nothing. Not only every second of it gives me goosebumps but it also perfectly sums up for me the true story of relationship between Hannibal and Will. People seem to debate whether this is sexual or platonic love, but to my understanding their love exists on many levels, and physical love is only one way of expressing feelings. Yet the sexual tension between these two is unbelievable and so obvious. As a fan I might have even liked to see a kiss in the final scene, but I understand that it might not be appropriate. The level of intimacy and closeness is so overwhelming that it goes well beyond what the sex scenes might suggest. This is somewhat a different love story. For me it doesn't matter what is happening and what will happen after the jump from the cliff. Before that there was a moment... a moment of true acceptance and full understanding, a moment when Will has finally given in himself to Hannibal. Whatever comes afterwards that scene is secondary, it will never change what has happened between them... Thank you, cinderfels! I'm in love with this masterpiece!

Perfectly said, you can't just put them into a category their love tresends this. the cliff scene was so beautiful and epic. even if we get no more of this series that alone was enough for me. it was perfect, people make things all about sex. if they don't it's not love. that's bull. man what Hannibal and Will had was love, yes twisted and dangerous but it was their kind of love and that cliff scene were they both except each other so perfect. doomed lovers it was epic... if we get more seasons this will always be my favorite scene.

I return to this video every so often, as clearly so many others do, to relive the same feelings I experienced the first time I watched it. The slow build of the music, the lyrics, the perfectly timed editing, then the perfect quote as an epilogue has made this video at least for me one of the best video creations I've ever experienced. It was as every bit heart wrenching as it was healing following the aftermath of the series finale. That deep, longing ache for more never fades, just numbs momentarily as life distracts us for days/weeks/months/years. Time passes but like an unspoken promise.....you're sitting at home one night, no special night in particular, and the lights are dimmed for the even. You have a quiet moment to yourself and something tells you to revisit this. So I, like so many others, come back to this video time and time again to reminisce. Because it's that damn good. Thank you cinderfels.

It's beautiful how every time I return to this video it actually makes me wanna cry. It's so perfect, a masterpiece like the show itself. It shows perfectly how complicated, yet marvelous and beautiful is the relationship between Hannibal and Will, two men that are "identically different", and that both "are alone without each other". Their relationship has always amazed me; everything, really. The scenarios, the unrealistic undertones, the way emotions are portrayed, the development of the characters, the dialogue and the poetry within it.
I mean, your video just blew my mind, since the very first time I saw it. 💕 it never ceases to amaze me, and I totally mean it.

You captured their type of love perfectly, though complex and dangerous, maybe unhealthy at times it is still love and beautiful, people who missed this point really need to rewatch the show, and how they develop into what they are is truly beautiful, even writer Bryan Fuller and the actors call it love, also people think just by having sex means love, no there are so many forms of love and nobody can put what these two have in a category, at the cliff scene they accept who they both are and are content for once it's beautiful also it's a doomed love appeal much like Romeo and Juliet, Will loves Hannibal but knows if he lives Jack would kill Hannibal, he said he would after The Red Dragon got taken down, so Will makes the ultimate sacrifice and takes himself with Hannibal off the cliff, a truly noble act and selfless and proves further more he loves Hannibal. anyway this is just what I got from watching it and my opinion so please don't hate on me for what I think. Thanks! 😊 I hope they do make more but if not this is perfect for me, Mads calls Hannibal and Will soul mates, it's a perfect term for love. made to convey so much and it fits Hannibal and Will's relationship and complex love well. love this video and the series! 💗
Also just wondering did anyone else notice? after Will and Hannibal Kill The Red Dragon guy and hug, Hannibal rubs his face against Will's kinda like a cat would do and affectionately. I hope I'm not the only one that noticed this. it was adorable and very cute and shows a form of love as well. 💕

+ladycopine not entirely certain, but I think he confirmed it after lots and lots of people were pressing the issue. Whether or not he truly believes they're platonic or romantic, he was pretty adamant about them being a bromance for a while. Which I get, I mean, as a writer I have characters who are very close emotionally but still feel platonically for one another, but there are already a lot of "bromances" in the media that depict close male friendships and challenge the strict "no homo" era of friendships forced onto men by the media, and Jesus. Just look at these two. It's about time that we allow one of those bromances to transition into a romance, and this is a prime candidate for that to happen.
TL;DR Fuller might have conceded that their feelings for another have changed, but the fact that it took him so long to do so is what frustrates my inner fanboy.
