From the videos I’ve watched, the unit seems very intuitive actually. Maybe even more so than the 404 MKII. Time will tell, but in the meantime, I’m waiting for mine to ship!
Fingers crossed! 🤞
Has anyone anywhere called the sp404mk2 intuitive?
Just answered the Roland survey. I wanted to let you know when they asked how I learned my device ! There was two people who I name dropped as being immensely helpful to me, and one was definitely you! Thank you my friend who has no clue I exist 😊 🙃
Thanks very much for that man! Much appreciated
I've been contemplating getting rid of my Smpltrek to get the LOFI-12 XT. Looks like a much more immediate and fun device for beatmaking vs. the Smpltrek.
I’ve only just started my journey but already things are feeling intuitive. Let’s hope that continues 🙌
Thank you very much for providing your wonderful samples for the Lofi-12 XT! 🙇
We hope you like it!
Thanks guys! Really looking forward to learning this device 🔥
I am def. Ordering that one. Seems like a very compact and straight forward device with nice features. For example inserts and send effects. Even with a sidechain function. 🎉
Love the color way
Just weirds me out that they couldn’t just do an optional update for Smpltrek
Cool vigeo
Fair play for trying it out. To be honest I couldn't work with the SmplTrek, found the workflow too janky. Went straight back to the Live 2 lol
Yeah going from MPC to sonicware is quite a bit different, so thats understandable!
On the fence of getting one of these. I have a KO2 which lacks sound design capabilities, but getting one of these and just having the KO2 sit around/drums only seems like a waste of money to me.
Another thing with this sampler is that it’s only a few hundred bucks cheaper than the MK2. Once it reaches past early pricing it’ll only be a hundred dollars less. Why not just save up for the MK2 instead?
Decisions decisions!!!!!
There will be a used market too if you wait a bit, that would mean you could get it a bit cheaper if you don't mind doing that 👍
I love Sonicware's stuff. The Mega Synthesis is easily one of my favorite pieces of gear to pair with the 404, and the xfm is hidden secret generative ambient powerhouse.
Nice! I didn’t get on too well with the Lofi-12 but really dig the XT! The workflow is super simple and fun
@@spvidz I can tell, you make it look super fun in some of the other vids. I'm tempted.
Why no one talks about its sound?
I’m new and I’m starting to make dawless beats but I’m stuck between getting sp404 mkii or lofi 12 xt. what do you think is best choice for me as a beginner?
The XT is pretty fun but the MK2 is definitely a step above. It might be a little more tricky to learn at first but it will pay off in the long run
@@spvidzThank you so much. I’ll probably get the Sp404 mkii. appreciate you 🫡
Man im super excited to see you do a video of breaking this device down and seeing your opinion on the sound
Can't wait to get into it
The 32GB card comes with all Lofi Xts. It should have a bunch of projects and sounds preloaded on it. I'm looking forward to whatever you do with this machine. Got mine recently but not had the time to try it yet. Same goes for my Elz-1 Play. The only two sonicware boxes I haven't liked are the Liven Bass & Beats and the Smpltrek (the Lofi XT shares the physical build of the Smpltrek but a far simpler UI and UX). I'm perfectly satisfied with the build quality and knob-feel (ooh, Matron!) of all Sonicware gear. There's already Decksavers for the Liven Range and this/the Smpltrek and they're great too (sold separately). tbh, all my noodling time is being monopolised by Sonicware's Liven Mega Synthesis (Sega Megadrive/Genesis groovebox). The L MS is addictive.
I really like the lofi sound and the retro look is nice!
I'm sure your next review will be interesting! great!
Congratulations bro, and I got mine delivered today too lol!!! Saw your sample pack was included, and I was very happy about that!!🙏🏾✊🏾💚
Yeah man there seems to be some secret XT sauce on those hits too, they sound nice!
oh, I've been thinking about one of these, happy a beatmaker I already listen to is checking it out
Mine shipped quickly from Tokyo to Jersey. Label was created yesterday and it was delivered today, hyped! I wonder what's the other device you have to reveal, is it a woovebox?
Nice, mine arrived pretty damn quick too!
Got mine last week too, love it so far. PS: your samples are nice nice nice! did you do the projects as well?
No projects no - just supplied samples. The XT definitely added some kind of secret sauce to them!
Thanks for the video, waiting on my mine.
Oh yeah! I got mine a couple days ago. I really like it so far. 👍
Nice man! I'm really getting into it as well...learned a lot over the past couple of days and can't wait to share more content about it!
Congrats brother! Random question... is there a way to insert mutes/ dead silence into patterns on the SP mk2? I use pattern chain to create my beats and load them into a Tascam dp01 8 track. I want to create little mutes/pauses but still be on time when I'm making songs
Have a look at page 83 in the manual. It explains the process there
@spvidz Thanks for that! I think if I have a 2 bar loop, though, and only want to mute .1-.2 bars of it, I need to have the sample chopped that way on a pad prior to creating the pattern. Either that or record it into a daw and just highlight the pieces of the wav that I want muted 🤔
Сongrut bro
On Paper is a fantastic machine but hands on not so much, at least for me
What don't you like about it?
Be interested to hear too. I can see the dials being a little annoying after a while, especially the ones that click
Those mini mini dials and buttons really threw me off and also the way the sequencer works ,I don't know it just didn't click with me
Mine came with a case🤔
😱 oh well - it was very kind of them to send me one out
Spvidz back with another one 🔥🔥🔥🔥🫡
🙌
