Yoooo when Andrew Koji hit that wide stance at 2:22 and that guitar hit...It's ON!!! I actually really liked seeing Storm Shadow as he infiltrated the Yakuza.
I got goosebumps in theaters when that happened. Andrew Koji really stole the whole movie. I guarantee a week within filming everyone on set was wondering why he wasn't the main protagonist LOL.
I'm not a GI Joe fan, but I at least know a bit about Snake Eyes and that he had a rival who wore white. Just from seeing the first 5 mins of Tommy, I thought damn, they got a japanese guy that can move and fight. That landing from the rope cut was slick; I hope he doesn't get killed early. Then he pulled that stance with the two swords and I was like, oh kay I don't think he's gonna die. LOL After this I was totally invested in the actor and found that he played the main lead in an hbo max series called Warrior. WHAT A GEM. I thank this movie for leading me to find the tv show Warrior.
Just literally watched it. As a movie freak, I already have this feeling when i watched the trailer. It's a BAD MOVIE (STORYLINE, CHARACTERS, for FEW CAST, AND THE CHARACTERS MOTIVE) Snake eyes is a Stupid guy. Don't he think that he can find his father killer himself, or use the Tommy power to JUST find the murderer of his father? I confused with the Snake MOTIVE that change so many times (So the other Joe members, and yet they are really really ACCEPTANCE for his mistakes and flaws, like WHAAAATT...) and YES, Snake is STUPID. Cmon, you dont cast A RIDICULOUS GOOD LOOKING GUY to cover him in a mask (In this context of BEING SNAKE EYES that will fully face cover) Bad cast for Henry as a Snake eyes, REALLY?? oh God he really lack of CHARISMA as Snake eyes and he really BAD with martial arts. Henry is good only as he holding gun and acting (So far, as a asian Mafia in 'the Gentlemen' ). Ohh.. Christ sake, Samara Weaving as Scarlet, and The Baroness REALLY JUST AS EYE CANDY ON THIS MOVIE, they don't even have a right character and proportion on this 2HOURS MOVIE!!!! For TOMMY as STORM SHADOW, oh i really LOVE his character, REALLY REALLY CHARISMATIC, as a man that hold the burden of Arashikage clan and someone who have darkside, he REALLY SHOW it all. Shame the storyline is F' up. 2HOURS MOVIE AND STILL CAN'T MADE THE STORY ABOUT SNAKE EYES DECISION TO SILENT??!!! For god sake!! Its still better the GI Joe 1&2 for overall compares to this movie.
Bro in terms of story... yeah it's pretty much hot garbage. I saw it in theater and though I loved it, the story felt... odd? Storm Shadow does 1 fuck up, and thats to SAVE HIS FAMILY AND CLAN, meanwhile Snake Eyes fucks up at every turn and they forgive the guy? What the fuck lmao. Baroness and Samara Weaving were... very hot. Was great eye candy, but didn't mind either of them as characters for the whole plot. Quite enjoyed the Baroness myself! Snake Eyes (Henry Goulding) was pretty... bad. His charisma, his action scenes... He just didn't convey this awesome badass, he was trying to be like an asian deadpool? Then we have Storrm Shadow (Andrew Koji) the real reason I wanted to see this film... Koji didn't only out act the fuck out of Henry Goulding (a british actor, using an american voice, with an japanese accent? Are you fucking kidding me, thats brilliant acting) he also stole the whole show. His charisma, the way he presents himself in action scenes. He fucking sold that he was an elite Warrior (haha, no shit) and took what could have been an OK movie and turned it into a great experience. I actually never saw the original 2 (I'm not a G.I Joe fan or know much about it) but am thinking of getting into the comics soon.

And she's really good at there (Both as stand alone character and acting). Ahahahah i laughing when you said About Asian Deadpool, i think even the director have intention to that, STILL, couldn't became the Deadpool wannabe. Cause the origin story its already different. In Deadpool, even his face is fuck up, he proudly show it to people most of the time. In other hand, Snake eyes, have a a fuck up face too, but most of the time hide it with a mask ( That's why i say at previous 'You dont cast a Ridiculous good looking guy and hide him behind mask forever' 😆). Addition with his SILENT treatment, that's make him a mysterious, weird, and a sense of dark charm character that fans love. And the 2 two hours movie EVEN can't even make Henry Golding face fucked plus silent treatment, fucked it!!! 😅
